Guest Post with author Eve Langlais with giveway of Wickedest Witch
Please welcome erotic romance author Eve Langlais. I have read three of Eve's books in the last few weeks and loved them. I suggest this book highly and please check out her website for more of her wonderful books. Eve is also another great author to talk to so don't be shy.
Bad girls need love too
I always wanted to be a bad girl. I still do. You see them all the time in films, on TV and in books, getting killed, ridiculed, or abandoned for a life of loneliness. I'm talking the evil sorceress in fairy tales, the wicked witch astride her broom, the soul sucking succubus with the hot body, or how about the corporate bitch who runs her competitors into the ground. Now those are bad girls, and if you ignore the fact they sometimes like to kill people and have it out for the goody-two-shoes heroine, they're really cool. Not to mention they have the best powers. However finding a story where these naughty vixens fall in love is so rare.
Is there some unwritten rule that only TSTL heroines should get their man? That totally sucks. I freely admit, I sometimes get tired of the whining and soul searching that comes with the heroine doing the right thing. Bad girls don't hesitate, they act--sometimes with deadly consequence, but hey, at that least they're not insipidly indecisive.
If I had to choose what kind of evil lady I'd be, I think I'd go for witch. The ability to cast spells, wear slinky black gowns and broom riding sound so freaking cool. And, if anyone messed with me, I'd turn them in to a frog. Muahahahaha! See, I've even practiced the husky, evil villainess laugh another cool thing that bad girls get to do. Ooh, and I have the bright red lipstick to go with my naughty thong panties. J
Cool looks, awesome powers, the only thing missing is a man. You see, bad girls need love too, and yet so often, if she refuses to turn over a new leaf, the hero walks away leaving her all alone. Screw that. Wicked ladies need real men, not morally upstanding dweebs. They need a guy who understands sometimes violence is the only recourse. A man who lets no one step all over him, and who's willing to flatten anyone who looks at his girl cross eyed. In other words, a bad boy--a yummy, muscled, dressed in denim and leather, hunk.
The next time you see an evil sorceress get shafted, a corporate ice queen hiding her loneliness behind pink slips, or a wicked witch turned into a puddle of goo by a TSTL heroine in ruby red shoes, give a boo. It's time we demanded that bad girls get a HEA of their own, or at the very least a man who will love her just the way she is--and kick the ass of anyone who tries to change her.
LOL, if you could be any kind of bad girl, who and what would you be? Would your evil know any bounds?
If you're looking for a story of a not-so-nice witch who gets what she deserves--an alpha of her own--then check out Wickedest Witch, now available from Liquid Silver books. I've included a blurb, but for an excerpt and more please see my website at http://www.evelanglais.com/
Thank you for engaging the services of Wicked Incorporated where the insults are given for free.
Evangaline is not a very nice witch, but ask her if she cares. She does however have a healthy sexual appetite, and when an uncouth shifter starts appearing in her fantasies, it's not long before she makes her erotic mind play a reality. But everyone knows a wicked witch can't fall in love, or can she?
Ryker, a hot and muscled shifter, knows his size and domineering presence intimidates women, all except for one curvy witch he just can't get out of his mind. Set to a task only the two of them can accomplish, he discovers wickedness has its uses, especially in the bedroom.
Dealing with vamps, a wedding from hell and a cackling gnome named Rumpelstiltskin, will these two wicked beings survive and, even more disturbing, decide to stay together?
Eve is giving away a PDF copy of Wickedest Witch. Please leave a comment or question with your email, so I can let you know your the winner. This ends 11/3/10

I love the sound of this book. I get so tired of goody-two-shoes heroines. It's hard, though to make the character not so nice, but still sympathetic, so I'll be interested to see how it's done in this book.

Oh man this book sounds amazing!!! And if I were any kind of bad girl I'd have to agree with you a wicked witch would be pretty awesome, and my evil would most definitely know no bounds. Come on if you're gonna be evil you might as well go all the way ;P lol
Thanks for the chance to win a copy of your book Eve, and thanks for hosting Laurie! :D

Loving the comments. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who longs to be naughty. :)
Wearing a thong while riding a broom? Can I just say, "Ouch?" LOL
Ash (a real witch who'd install a bicycle seat on her broom if she planned to ride it.)
ROFL Ashlyn
Sounds like a really fun read. The cover is great. Is it a stand alone or do you have to read Broomstick Breakdown first?
mishcara (at) gmail (dot) com
This sounds like my kind of read. I love a Wicked Witch type of heroine. Hey, when you want your man you gotta do what you gotta do. :)
Thanks for the chance to win.

A wicked witch falling in love ...how did you manage to write this,so that it sounds so real ?
Since I'm a real witch this sounds totally wicked
sherrybotelho@rogers.com
Sounds like a refreshing change to many of the books out there, nice to see a girl a bit naughty once in a while :)
Thank you for the opportunity to win!
themagicfaerie [at] gmail [dot] com
LOL thanks for all the lovely comments. And to Michelle, Wickedest Witch and Broomstick Breakdown are both stand alone stories.
:)
Oh my freakin' hell!!! This post is awesome to no end.
Yes, I certainly have my wicked ways. My evil would have boundaries though and would be selected- reserved for the people and the moments it's most called for. Otherwise, just being plain evil takes to much energy-lol! and if I have a hot hunky shifter at my side you know where that energy will be expended most ;) ;) ;)
I agree. A wicked lady must have her wicked man.
So what would I be? I admire female leads that can kick a$$ and not depend on their magic or even use it much. So i would love to be Kate from the Kate Daniels series- whatever the heck she is. LOL!
I hope that's answer enough.
What a great post Eve. Just reading your post here I can see just how much wickedest witch will rock!!
Hmm, do you think I can have that hunky man on the cover! Fedex him over to me in Hawaii- I'll take good care, I promise!!
=)Aloha!!!

The book sounds awesome, I will be adding it to my Wish List. The cover and Title alone would make me pick it up.
mrsqueentutt@yahoo.com
Oh Eve, the excerpt I just read was hilarious. One good thing about being a bit evil, is that you can make all those dud lover's wish they'd never opened their mouths to complain, lol.
I tend to like strong heroines, so kick ass with a touch of evil bitch really works for me.
caity_mack at yahoo dot com
We all love the bad boy, but I think the bad girl needs some love too!
I just loved your comment about TSTL heroines!!! (in ruby slippers-lol) I'm rooting for the witch!

This book sounds unbelievably wonderful! I love the different take with a bad girl as the focus!! Thanks for the post and the giveaway!!

Sounds like a great book, finally we get to see the wicked witch get her happy ending instead of just the princesses.
Thanks for the great giveaway! :)

When I read "Evangaline is not a very nice witch, but ask her if she cares", you got me!
Not a sissy and no sorrows for her! I like it!
So I must to enter in this contest and win. No pity for the rest. I have to read it! :D
martasder[at]gmail[dot]com
Thanks for the international giveaway!
I haven't heard of this book before now but it sounds awesome! I'm definitely putting it on my TBR pile! Thank you for the giveaway!
spettolij AT gmail DOT com
What is wicked these days anyway? I mean next to politicians, taxes and Housewives the wicked witch is starting to look tame. I would rather her get a chance at love than any of those mentioned above. I would love to put a spell on a few of them, maybe then we would see a rare manifestation called common sense. Speaking of sense, use some and go buy Eve's book!
Bad girls do get a bad rap...why is that? I love this concept. We should totally focus on the bad and revel in it more! I can't wait to read this book.
minaburrows1 (at) gmail (dot com
I have not been to this publisher in a while but I need to go visit. Love the blurb and it sounds like a fun as well as sexy story. Thanks for highlighting this story.
