Review: Naked Dragon

Title: Naked Dragon
Author: Annette Blair
Mass paperback 302pgs.
Laurie's Rating 4/5

Book summary
The Works Like Magick Employment Agency has a reputation for perfectly matching clients with magical temps. So when McKenna Greylock requests a handyman, the gorgeous Bastian Dragonelli arrives to repair her B&B...and fire up her bedroom.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Laurie's review:

Annette Blair has an unique writing style, her books are full of humor, magic, animals (cats mostly), and romance.

What would you do when you hire a handyman, then find him in your basement destroying your B&B foundation? Well, you have to read to she what McKenna does…

****very few spoilers below****

This book was really good.. Both McKenna and Bastian has there own body problems to over come with each other, I will say Bastian has the biggest because its his manhood!! I have never read anything like it..

The story line was different, it can get a little confusing at first but remember Bastian has not been on earth for a while so it takes him a little to catch up on the new language terms..

Annette also brings in someone form her past book..

Over all if you looking for a fun romance with a little mystery this one is a good easy read..

Review: Gentlemen Prefer Succbi by Jill Myles

Title: Gentlemen Preffr Succbi
Author: Jill Myles
Mass Paperback pages 332.. Paranormal Romance
Laurie's rating 2 1/2 of 5

Book Summary:
Jackie Brighton woke up in a dumpster this morning, and her day has only gotten weirder. Her breasts grew overnight, her sex drive is insatiable, and apparently she had her first one-night stand ever . . . with a fallen angel.
Of course, she only remembers gorgeous Noah’s enormous, er, package. And their steamy shower sex. Hmm . . . and the dark stranger whose bite transformed her into an immortal siren with a seductive Itch.
With help from Noah and fellow succubus Remy Summore, Jackie adapts to her new lifestyle—until she accidentally strikes a deal that sends her lover into the deadly clutches of the vampire queen and lands Jackie, Remy, and the queen’s wickedly hot right-hand man into the middle of a fierce battle for an ancient halo.
But how’s a girl supposed to save the world when the enemy’s so hard to resist
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Laurie's review:
The good points in this book is. Its funny, has a great story line, hot sex, to me the book doesn’t really get good until you met Zane , but then of course, you end up finding out he started the whole thing grr.., I liked Noah, but I never got to really know Noah in depth as a character. I liked the queen the best you get a little on her background to know more why she is like she is..

Bad points for me is, Jackie was on my last nerve and again I never got to really know Jackie’s character in depth being this series is going to be about her, I think she gives Remy down the road for nothing, all Remy does it try to help. There is no closure at the end you don’t know who she ends up with, in other words NO HEA.

I agree with others this book is more on the lines of Urban Fantasy..

My biggest reason for the 2 ½ star is the book says Paranormal romance but I never read the romance there was sex but, I found no romance between either guy..

Review for The Dark Highlander

Title:The Dark Highlander
Author:

Summary:
Journey to a world of ancient magic, breathtaking sensuality, thrilling time-travel.... Journey to the world of The Dark Highlander. Crisscrossing the continents and the centuries, here is a novel as gripping as it is sensual--an electrifying adventure that will leave you breathless....

I am Dageus MacKeltar, a man with one good conscience and thirteen bad ones, driven to sate my darkest desires…

From his penthouse lair high above Manhattan, Dageus looks out over a glittering city that calls to the darkness within him. A sixteenth-century Scot trapped between worlds, he is fighting a losing battle with the thirteen Druids who possess his soul, dooming him to an eternity of sexual pursuit. When Chloe Zanders, student of antiquities, is drawn into his world, she finds the insatiable alpha male an irresistible lure. Before long, she is caught up in an ancient prophecy that will sweep her back into time to medieval Scotland. Plunged into a world of timeless magic and dark seduction, she will soon face the challenge of a lifetime: fighting thirteen evil spirits for the heart of one irresistible man....

Laurie's rating 4/5

Lauries's review:

I really like this series.. I found I like time travel but who wouldn’t want to go back into in the sixteenth century and end up with a sexy Druid highlander, I’m like where is the sign up sheet I go!!

This book is on Dagrus and Chloe, it had a little more humor then the others to me, I loved it when he found Chloe under his bed, I really liked Dagrus he has a hard way to go with the ancients in him, but he does it.. I had a harder time liking Chloe she was a stick in the mud to me, but they both fit together well, Dagrus just has to work harder on Chloe. In this book Drustan and Gwen was brought back in so you get to read a little more on them, its gets funny when the twins met again. All in all these books are a joy to read and Moning knows how to write sex..If you have as of yet given theses a try please do..

Laurie's review:
Rating-

Sexual-

This book falls in the lines of both PNR and UF
Jenna has really done a good job with this book it has romance along with adventure. This book has lots of elements that I love including great sex, a plantation home with a ghost to boot, Ares’s the god of war (I loved how he was brought into the book it was brilliant ), Morrigan the war goodness of course, and Pandora the voodoo queen the story line was really good and different, with a great cliffhanger ending..

I love Cin she is one character I would love to be. Cin is a witch/vampire she is has good and dark magic that in this book she gets to explore more, a wonderful husband along with two friends that make up of the Righteous. If you haven’t been able to read the first two books please do it helps to understand Cin more.

*Spoilers*

In this book Cin’s cousin Clair gets kidnapped, Cin and Michael has to go to America to find her this is where it gets good of course, Michael finds the only way to get Clair is to buy a plantation home along with slaves and the lands holds lots of dark magic. Clair holds something form Morrigan it’s a urn and in that holds the god of war now remember Cin is in 1862 so, you have the Civil war going on in America so, then you know the god of war will love the war or will he love something else?? You need to read to find out more..
