My daughter and I wanted to make more cupcakes for the simple fact we eat less cake this away, I have no clue why. I kept looking for a good cupcake cookbook and found most of them just had cupcakes designed for kids. In the back of my mind I new Martha Stewarts cupcakes would be the only one for me. So I bought it. While listing to my daughter saying "don’t we have enough Martha Stewart cookbooks"? I say “so than what’s one more added to the kindle.” LOL.

When I revived the book and looked it over, I was very pleased with the over look of the book and how the pictures and pages followed, I couldn’t wait to start. This book has just basic cupcakes from chocolate chip, yellow buttermilk, carrot, red velvet, coconut, devil’s food and more. You get the icing recipe for each one too. Then there is the dipped and glazed cupcakes which is, brown sugar pound cake, streusel cupcake, pumpkin brown butter cupcake and more. Then you go to Simple and sweet cupcakes like marble cupcakes, raspberry marble cheesecakes and more. Next we have filled and layered mint cupcakes like filled brownie, black forest, peanut better filled chocolate and the categories goes on. You get tips on how to decorate cupcakes for the holidays. What I have made I’ve really enjoyed making and eating them. Well I guess the eating more;)

Avril’s best friend Ebony is now a vampire and living in the mansion with the rest of the Aleksandrou family. If you read book one, Darkest Hour, you read how Avril meet Aiston and how much she didn’t care for him. Now she is back at home and working in the bar. One night one of the men at the bar came back after closing and things got out of hand. Aiston stepped in and saved Avril from what could have been her life.

Aiston is known for his womanizing, but since the first time he has seen Avril he can careless about them. The thing he has to do is to make Avril realize it. Because she is his and he wants to make her forever his.

You get more action in this book than the first with the drifter’s getting out of hand and there is some new vampires that shows up to help the Aleksandrou men out. You also get a peak at their mom as she is to come and see the new baby. The story starts out really good, but it got a little to predictable for me at some points. I found it still a good read if you want something quick and sexy with lots of action.
After reading both one and two darkest ebooks. I found you can read them in order, but you don’t really have to. S.K. makes everything clear if you just read this one. Although if your one that likes to read every detail like me then its best to go in order.

I loved reading about the Aleksandrow’s whole family of course, they are a little different, then most families. For one they have to drink small amounts of blood to live. There are 3 brothers Ashe, Aldin and Aiston. One sister Estirl and of course, they live in a mansion with an west wing. This was a fun exciting read that has a good mystery, danger, nasty villains, humor and a few surprises. I really like how S.K. brings you into their vampire world. I found it easily explained, so I didn’t get confused with vampire terms or wording (whichever you call it).

Avril learns she is dying. On her way home she runs into a tall dark stranger named Ashe. When she gets home she is attacked by something or someone. Her tall dark stranger comes in and saves her. From there Ashe has to bring her back to his house so he can find her attacker and kill whoever it is.

Ashe is the oldest brother’s. He has had a mate in the past that is now dead. So it was a giant surprise to find Avirl could see him while he was hunting and had himself shielded against people. Only a mate would be able to do that. Now that his mates life hangs on the line even more than he knows he as to pull out all the stops to save her.

I enjoyed both Avirl and Ashe. It takes a little for both of them to learn to trust. This is what I would call a mush story, but I found it really worked for these two. I found the sex between these two to be hot and in the right amount.

This story is long enough that you can sink your teeth into and really enjoy it. You also get to read enough about the rest of the family and Avirl’s best friend, this way you already know some about them before the next books.

Revenge is sweet until it turns on you and you’re the one that’s at the other end. This novella is short but very interesting to read, I found I really liked this witty and devilish story and all its small surprises.

Each Demon comes in different forms like happy, sad, virtue, loving, caring and so on, it helped with a balance in the world. You have to have goodness and evil in the world to keep everything in check. This novella focus on two, the demon of justice Dante and the demon of scorn Bianca.

Bianca brother was killed. She knows who done it, so she kidnap’s Dante and whips him each night for revenge over the killing of her brother.
Dante thinks he needs the punishment for what happened to his sister and he really doesn’t want to deal with the matter of what happened, so he doesn’t tell her why he has to kill her bother.
Dante gets a chance to turn the tables and hold Bianca captive. Will he do to her what she done to him or will something else all together happen?

I really enjoyed both the hero and heroine even with their devilish ways. They both have to work though things to find out what they really love.

Book description
Jericho Tavi has lived, breathed, and hungered for revenge against Sabrina for killing the love of his life, but when he finally captures her, he wonders if he-s made a terrible mistake. While his mind screams for vengeance, his blood boils with desire for the beautiful red-haired siren.

Even though she-s chained in Jericho-s basement, Sabrina Johnson can-t help but find her captor irresistibly sexy. Can she convince him she-s innocent before he carries out his plan to kill her; and if she does succeed, how can she ever make a man who-s hated her for so many years fall in love with her?

For a little less then 30 pages you get a small story about two vampires. One Jericho wants revenge for his dead wife. The other Sabrina knows the hatred from Jericho and stays away form him for as long as she could before she was caught and chained to the basement wall. There they find more than just hate.

This is a nice story with great sex, but its nothing grand. If you want something short and not take up your time this would fill that void. I did enjoy it and found a few surprises in the story

Book describtion
A novella of two stories—"The Devilin Fey" and "Tongue-Tied." The Devilin Fey (story #1): A demure young woman unleashes the "devil in" her, through the intimacy with an incubus—her incubus. Tongue-Tied (story #2): A voyeuristic succubus with jealousy and a fixation is dangerous, as you’ll find out in this great little story.

Story one THE DEVILIN FEY
When I started reading this I found that I didn’t care for it right of the bat. I read the first story and skimmed the last one. The plot was to slim and I didn’t find any action or humor or my biggest beef is no HEA. I didn’t take a liking to Miss Fey right off the bat when she slept with Zac. I just can’t seem to get it in my head right, if you write in a magazine how much of a scum he is, your not going to just jump in the sack with him the first time you meet. It just didn’t seem real to me.
Caitlin is a journalist that has been having dreams about her dream man. She ends up with sexual encounter with Zac the scum that she wrote about then she meets the man in her dreams Lucius he is a incubus and they both find a attraction to each other that leaves her quite different.

Story two Tongue Tied. I didn’t go into this one when I seen the F/F that’s just not my cup of tea.
I’m sad to say this just did nothing for me, but I like to stick with PNR so this one my be right up your ally.
