Paranormal romance: shape-shifter wolf
eBook Novella
Authors website
A family legend could lead to a treasure more precious than pearls…or get them killed.
Between babysitting her very pregnant sister-in-law and fending off her mother’s nagging about her marital status, Blair Moreau is going insane. Her only hold on sanity is her daily walk for a guilty peek at her crush, the sexy neighbor who’s fixing up the old Cotesworth place.
Conn Lucas, the bastard son of Culford’s leading family, got way out of town a long time ago. When the only relative who didn’t despise him leaves him her 250-year-old house, Conn plans to refurbish it, flip it, and get back to Connecticut as soon as possible. Until a local beauty with a rare talent for DIY gives him a hand with some stubborn siding.
When he makes her mad enough to swing a two-by-four at his head, he realizes Blair is better than perfect. Especially when his efforts to keep her from killing him explode into an erotic rush of adrenaline that unleashes desires they’ve both kept hidden.
Breaking through Conn’s tough shell isn’t as difficult Blair’s next hurdle—telling him she’s a werewolf. First, though, they’ve got to deal with meddling ghosts and a bad ol’ boy cousin who isn’t above taking what he wants at nail-gun point…
Warning: This book contains a smokin’ hot werewolf chick with serious DIY know-how and a man who thinks that’s sexy; illegal use of nail guns; things to do in a claw-foot tub; pirate references; piddling Dobermans and meddling ghosts. Which is better than meddling Dobermans and piddling ghosts.

This is a sexy fast pace novella. I love to read short and exciting books and I really love it when there is treasure in it. I enjoyed the wolf shape shifter being the female roll with the human as the man, I don’t think I have read one like it. I enjoyed both Conn and Blair and I love how Blair was submissive to Conn. The sex between them is D/s and very tasteful and hot. These two have an adventure with some ghosts, a villain, and treasure. I know I will be reading more from this author.

This is erotic author Ashlyn Chase first book in her new light paranormal romance series. I found this a good start for sexy humors series. Life is never dull in this apartment building full of paranormal creatures. You get one noisy Aunt, one nasty ghost or I should say one ghost that may get on your nerves and more. Then you throw in one snoopy reporter that could spell disaster for the whole building.
Merry never knew what she was getting into when she moved into her new apartment. She not only got an apartment full of paranormal creatures, but a few new surprises along the way one in particular would be the hot new landlord named Jason who happens to be an all-star pitcher. What could possibility happen by just having a fling with the hot all-star pitcher anyway? Well you have to read and find out;) Both Jason and Marry were very enjoyable to read.
This is a nice light read with a hot romance. There is plenty of sexual tension between Marry and Jason and of course you get the hot sex to go along with it.
This book received the Scorcher award

Will destiny be enough to break her free of a lifetime of secrets?
Knox, the Seeker, has waited two hundred years for his Watcher and now he's found her. Paxtyn, however, is unwilling to join him. The more he tries to prove himself to her, the more she pushes him away.
Paxtyn has spent a lifetime keeping her secret hidden from the world, but now, she must confront these deadly visions head on. When a string of murders brings her into New Orleans, she must come to terms with her personal demons and use her gift to communicate with spirits to discover who has ended their lives

This is a good paranormal romance story and a great start for a series. There is a fallen angel, humor, action, evil, demons and naked hot men. This is one of Stacey Kennedy’s sexier series, so if you like it hot here you go. I found an excellent storyline and its easy explained. I loved the ideal of a seeker having to be paired up or mated with an watcher to find the evil demons.
I had a hard time getting in to this one at first. The reason is the H/H are the type that thinks the other hates the other, so there is argueing back in forth. I really enjoyed the book after Paxton finally blows and opens up to find out why Knox disliked her so much. This is I know a turn off for some, but I have learned we all have insecure issues and its going to show up in books.
Paxton has a gift that she believes is a curse, she can see people being killed by another human, but what she doesn’t know is that the one that’s doing the killing is not human at all. Her close friend Tate has never known she has this ability and blows. When she meets a man named Knox their world as they know it will never be the same

A nice change of pace from the usual historical romance offerings: A Roman Centurion, Maximus, and a Druid Princess, Carys. Two lovers caught on opposite sides of a war. What a delicious set up for a romance!
And what opposites they are. Carys - A Druid Princess from a matriarchal line. A cultural that holds women in high esteem, honors their Goddesses above all, doesn’t believe they need a man’s permission. Maximus - Roman, alpha, protective, possessive, sees women as property, patriarchal. It’s these differences that Ms. Phillips puts to work….overtime.
Maximus and Carys truly care and love each other, regardless of the consequences or conventions of what their peers and social standing require. They will do whatever is necessary to protect each other from the ravages of war.
I’m not a big fan of magic, and I felt at times it was excess baggage. One incident occurred when Carys entered into a drug-induced dream state to commune with her Goddesses. Another was during the destruction of the “spiral”: Was this an explosion or an implosion? I know Druid magic is an integral part of the story line and Carys’s way of life, but I just couldn’t wrap my mind around some of this.
And because of that, I was really undecided on a 3 or 4 howl. Oh - The roman bath scene. Okay, a 3.5 Howl!

Carys knew from the moment she first spied on Maximus in his naked barbarian glory that he was a dangerous Roman centurion - his taut, battle-scarred flesh marking him as a fearless warrior. But her desire for him was as undeniable as it was illicit.
Charged by his emperor to eliminate a clan of powerful Druids in Britain, Maximus never expects his mission to be thwarted by the clan's ethereal princess, Carys, his daring voyeur. Falling under her spell, he doesn't realize her true heritage - until he captures her heart as well as her body.
As Carys's loyalties are twisted, and freedom is no longer her single-minded obsession, an avenging former lover threatens to crush Maximus's people into oblivion. Now Carys and Maximus must overcome the devastation of war and face the ultimate sacrifice if their forbidden love is to survive.

He towered over her, his wood nymph, his Celtic lady, his Carys. “Why do you never do as you are bid?”
“Because”--Carys gasped as she flexed her thighs and dug her heels into his backside--“I’m not your slave, Maximus. I’m your woman.”

Interview with paranormal author Nina Bangs and giveaway
Please welcome my one of my favorite authors Nina Bangs.
Laurie- Would you please tell us what inspired you to write about dinosaurs?
Nina-I was searching for a new series idea. When I looked at all the wonderful paranormals already on the shelves, I decided that I needed something different, something that hadn’t been done yet. I knew I wanted my heroes to be the ultimate alpha males, but what could be more alpha than a wolf or vampire? Then I thought of Jurassic Park. Do you remember the scene where the tour car was stuck on the muddy road, and the boy inside watched the water in the two glasses ripple as the ground shook from distant footfalls? Boom, boom, boom, the footsteps came closer and closer. And when the T. rex finally broke from the trees, it was a wow moment. The predator’s size and ferocity took my breath away. I wanted my heroes to have that kind of impact—sensual and gorgeous in their human forms and savage ancient hunters in animal form.
Laurie-How did the 2012 Mayan end of the world prophecy come in to play with this awesome series?
Nina- I love listening to “Coast to Coast AM” when I can stay awake long enough to enjoy the show. Over the last few years, George Noory, the show’s host, has had quite a few guests who discussed the end of the Mayan long count calendar. What will happen in 2012? Some people predict the apocalypse while others believe it will herald in an age when humanity will ascend to a higher level of consciousness. Of course, I have no idea what will happen, if anything. But I decided that the ending date would make a perfect “ticking clock” for my series. What if men with the souls of ancient predators led by a mysterious and powerful leader are all that stand between mankind and complete annihilation on December 21, 2012?
Laurie- What can you say to the readers that just don’t think dinosaurs are sexy to get them to pick up the first book and try it?
Nina-I suppose perception is everything. For example: dragons are considered sexy. Why? Have you Googled dragon images and really looked at them? Pretty scary stuff. And don’t even get me started on some werewolf pictures I’ve seen. Then why not a T. rex? Remember, it’s not the beast that’s sexy, but the man that becomes the beast. I hope that changes a few minds.
Laurie- I know you don’t want to give much away, but we are on the edge of our seats. Why did Fin save these eleven and bring them to the future in human form? And can you give us a clue on the connection between Fin and Seven?
Nina-Fin has an agenda, and it’s not only about saving humanity. And no, I’m not telling you what that agenda is. He chose the ten he wanted to save even as Zero was destroying their world, and those they loved were dying. Fin took the ones he thought would have both the physical and emotional strength to survive in the present. He also wanted them to have a strong sense of loyalty. And if they also hungered for vengeance against Zero, all the better. But beyond that, he chose the ones who would bond with the women he saw in his visions.
Fin and Seven share a past that defies time and space. I guess that’s all I can say without turning this into a spoiler.
Laurie-Will all eleven including Fin get a story?
Nina-I doubt that I’ll be able to do all of their stories. A lot depends on sales. But I’ll write them as long as readers want to know more about the Eleven. I definitely will do Fin’s story.
Laurie-Have you considered writing a book for the vampire Jude?
Nina-I’ve always been partial to vampires. So, yes, I want to do Jude’s story if the opportunity presents itself. I’d also like to write Kione’s story. I love tortured heroes, and the fae prince is about as tortured as you can get.
Laurie-What does it take to make the perfect alpha male together with the perfect female lead, without going overboard with one or the other?
Nina-Umm, luck? No, just kidding. I always want my heroes to be strong men, but I never want them to smother the heroines. They have to respect her and accept her as an equal partner in their fight against the enemy. So, no overbearing Neanderthals need apply. I like a kick-butt heroine, but I never want her to take the place of the hero. If she’s powerful enough to win every fight and destroy every evil, then I guess we don’t need a hero. And I always want my hero and heroine to have flaws. I don’t write perfect characters.
Laurie-You are so good at this, how do you make your characters so great without being annoying?
Nina-As a reader, I enjoy characters that aren’t simply black or white. Gray is my color of choice. And as a writer, I never make my characters all good or all bad. I even try to give my villains at least one positive quality even if it’s only a warped sense of humor. In Eternal Craving, Eight was vicious and cruel, but he had one redeeming moment. When he knew he was about to be banished from Earth, he asked that someone release the seagull he’d rescued.
Laurie- Can you give us some insight on how Dorchesterpub and the new ebook is going to work? And is this going to delay your Eternal Prey release date?
Nina-I’m no longer writing for Dorchester, so all future books will be from different publishers. Eternal Prey will be out on December 28 from Avon. From what Dorchester has said, my backlist will be available in e-format. A few books will also appear as trade paperbacks.
Laurie- Would you tell us what you are working on next and what to expect next at the bookstore?
Nina-I’m going back to the Castle of Dark Dreams for my next book. Edge, the cosmic troublemaker in charge of death, finally gets his own story. Next to Ganymede, he’s the most powerful troublemaker around. And there’s no love lost between the two. But their dislike for each other explodes into open warfare when a third party comes to play. I don’t have a release date yet for Wicked Edge.

Nadine knows if she can move past Justin’s death, the tentative feelings she’s denying Kane will blossom. Only she can’t seem to move on. Desperate, she turns to a psychic for help so she can say the final goodbyes she’d been denied years before.
For one night, Kane, Nadine and Justin will face the grief threatening to break down a friendship and turn to a love that will make them whole again.

A erotic read that’s not only sexy, but very compassionate. I loved this short novella it has a very sweet story that’s not just over the top with sex. You get a ménage of M/F/M (with back door action), Voyeurism, Ghosts and great characters. I would recommend this to erotic readers and paranormal romance readers that loves a little ghost sex action;)
There is some sexy voyeurism scenes, one that is in a restaurant and well you never know what goes on under someone else table *wicked grin*. I really enjoyed the characters Nadine is still very emotional over the death of her fiancé. You would think she would have moved on by now, but everyone is different. You just have to read to find out how she got past her barrier. I will say its not something you would even think would happen. Kane, I really liked, he doesn’t push even though he is about to blow his top to be more than just a friend to Nadine.

Aiden’s name has been carved into the victim’s stomach. Imagine his surprise when he discovers the dead man was Ms. Rolfe’s latest lover.
One note please. SPOILER ALERT! At one point Daniella tells Aiden she believes her father was an Egyptian demigod. She goes on to talk about Egyptian mythology. Excuse me!!! What happened to Adam and Lillith? Weren’t they The First? This blather I could have done without as it didn’t add one thing to the story. It actually confused the hell out of me.
I considered the first book of the series, EDEN’S HELL, the appetizer and this one the entrée. It has everything I needed: sex, blood and guts, a murdering fiend, suspense. A succulent dish that tantalized the taste buds.

It doesn’t take long for her to discover that this mere mortal man holds more power over her than any she's ever known.
And Aiden…he's only dreamed about women like Daniella.
Blood battles and broken vows are just the beginning of Daniella Rolfe’s woes.
