Desperate to escape her controlling family, Chloe Bradford scrambles up to the housetop of her Texas home on Christmas Eve. There she discovers a sexy stranger cloaked in shadow. He convinces her to shed her good-girl image and give into her most secret desires. The man's low, raspy voice tugs at her memory as much as it awakens her passion. Is he a Christmas miracle, or some figment of her imagination? When he tries to leave, she follows him, eager to learn his identity.

Zach can't stop thinking about Chloe, or their reunion on the roof. His wolf-half urges him to reveal his identity and claim her, but he doesn't dare. For both their sakes, he must remain in the shadows until he can control his inner beast's bursts of rage. After a decade of struggle he thought he could handle his curse, but Chloe's presence causes his control to slip. As the moon-rages become more frequent, he knows he's slipping toward the insanity that claims many of his kind. Only Chloe can save him, but he broke her heart over a decade ago. Her forgiveness would be the real Christmas miracle.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable.

Don't let the cover fool you, its paranormal romance.

Up on the Housetop is a steaming paranormal romance story, that I really enjoyed. I was suppose to have been reading another book instead of this one, but by the time I looked at my kindle and seen the name of the book I was too involved with reading it to put on by breaks and stop. This is a great story about finding a lost love. I loved the emotions, passion and connection between the hero and heroine.

Chloe had enough for one night and goes up on her housetop to escape life. She ends up yelling at the moon and throwing her bottle of champagne off the roof, think about how her life has taken this turn. As she is going through things in her mind about her past life, she finally notices her bottle never hit anything, she then asks if someone is out there? After a few times of asking, someone appears behind her and she is faced with a man that seems familar in ways. What connection does she have, this unknown man? You’ll have to read and find out. I will say this is an emotional read and some things maybe hard to take in, just remember if you lost your loved one and they never contacted you and you moved on in life then all the sudden they are there, you may not do things as you think.

Zach can’t take it anymore, he has to go and get his love The thing is he has changed in more ways then one and Chloe may not be able to handle what he has become. I loved the way Zach is persistent and won’t let Chloe go.

I recommend this to erotic paranormal romance readers.

Guest erotic author Tina Folsom and giveaways one open for International

Please give a warm welcome to author Tina Folsom!

Scanguards Vampires: Bodyguards with Issues

I started writing the first book in the series, Samson’s Lovely Mortal back in the spring of 2009. When I got stuck in the middle of it, I put the manuscript aside for a while and wrote some short stories in between until I was ready to get back to Samson.

After unsuccessfully trying to attract an agent to my manuscript, I finally took the plunge in May 2010 and published Samson’s Lovely Mortal on Amazon as a Kindle book. The second in the series, Amaury’s Hellion, was already finished at that point, so I released it less than two months later. Gabriel’s Mate followed in December 2010.

I often get asked how I come up with these crazy ideas. After all, a vampire with Erectile Dysfunction is quite a rarity. The idea for Samson and his ED actually came from watching the Sopranos. I figured if Tony Soprano could go to a shrink, so could my vampire. But I needed to give him some real problem, and what could be worse for an Alpha Hero than ED? So, Samson’s book was born.

The idea for Amaury’s problem came in the middle of writing Samson. I instinctively knew that the Linebacker-sized vampire with the huge smile and the brilliantly blue eyes was hiding a lot of pain and guilt inside him. Amaury is bombarded by everybody’s emotions which cause atom-bomb-sized migraines for him. And what better way to get rid of a migraine than by having sex? What a perfect remedy for Amaury.

Why I gave Gabriel a huge scar on his face in Samson’s Lovely Mortal, I really don’t know. But when I started plotting out his story, it was exactly what he needed. The scar on the outside mimics his internal scar and, in his own eyes, makes him seem like the monster he believes himself to be. I can’t reveal what his problem is because it is part of the mystery in Gabriel’s Mate, and I don’t want to spoil it for those who haven’t read the book yet.

When writing Scanguards Vampires, I always try to give glimpses of those characters, who will soon have their own book. I will definitely write one for Yvette, Zane, and Thomas – with Thomas’ book being a gay romance. Who knows, maybe even the villain from Amaury’s Hellion will get a shot at redemption in his own book. I definitely love my bad boys. They are so much more fun than the good guys. And some readers seem to think so too: I’ve received quite a few emails from readers, who wanted to know if Zane would get his own book. And Zane is one violent kind of guy. I’ll have a lot of redeeming to do there…

Knowing that many readers aren’t fond of e-books yet, I’m also putting all of the Scanguards Vampires books into paperback. Samson’s Lovely Mortal and Amaury’s Hellion are already available (only through Amazon.com) and Gabriel’s Mate will be out in a few days.

Since I also write a Greek God series called Out of Olympus and need to write the 2nd book in that series, the next Scanguards Vampires book won’t come out until the summer of 2011. So, please be patient. In the meantime, I do have a historical erotic novella being released today: Venice Vampyr. It’s very gothic, erotic, and about 1/3 of the length of my Scanguards books. I hope it’ll tide you over until the 4th Scanguards book will be released.

Many thanks to all my loyal readers, and to Laurie for hosting me on her great blog,
Tina

Author: Katie Salidas
Authors website
Source: Requested review
Genre: Urban Fantasy- Vampire
Format: Novel eBook, Kindle and today it is in print at amazon

Becoming a vampire saved Alyssa from death, but the price was high: the loss of everything and everyone attached to her mortal life. She’s still learning to cope when a surprise confrontation with Santino Vitale, the Acta Sanctorum’s most fearsome hunter, sends her fleeing back to the world she once knew, and Fallon, the friend she’s missed more than anything.

Alyssa breaks vampire law by revealing her new, true self to her old friend, a fact which causes strong division in the group that should support her most: her clan.

Worse yet, her revelation entangles Fallon in the struggle between vampires and hunters and The Acta Sanctorum is ready to attack again, with a new army of hybrid creations: the Frenzy Soldiers.

If Alyssa hopes to survive and keep her mortal friend safe, she’ll have to be willing to make a deal with the enemy, and regain her clan’s support. It will take everyone working together in a precarious truce to fight against the Acta Sanctorum’s new threat.

Katie Salidas writes another great adventure for Alyssa and her clan called Hunters Pray. I enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next one. Again you get a mix of Urban Fantasy, romance and Dark Fantasy. I love how Kate can mix these genre’s together and write a good book that each one can enjoy.

Alyssa is still trying to settle in her new vampire life and she finds she is having awful dreams. One night while she is out feeding she runs into trouble and runs to her old hangout where her and Fallon always went to when she was human. From there Alyssa causes a turn of events that gets her and her old friend Fallon into deep trouble with the vampire hunter Quentin. Quentin has a suspire for them and they are very hard to kill.

I loved Fallon coming into the story and will be looking forward to reading more about her in this next book. You get to read the rest of the vampires in the clan and you also read Alyssa and Lysander romance gets deeper this time around.

I recommend this book to UF readers that doesn’t mind a good sex scene and romance readers that likes reading some on the dark side.

Its best to read this series in order.

Immortalis Carpe Noctem is a great mix of Urban Fantasy, romance and Dark Fantasy. It’s very hard for me to enjoy reading a UF book with me being a true romance reader, but this story I really enjoyed and I am looking forward to reading the next book. Be warned this story has some scenes are brutal. You get murder, rape and these vamps kills their human blood host innocent or not. I liked the way this story is written in Alyssa POV you get to really know her.

Alyssa is waking home alone when a man stops her and asks a question, as Alyssa answers she has no clue that the turn of events to come next would change her life forever. She has a hard time coping with her new life even with her savior Lysander teaching her and helping her all he can. You find Alyssa is stubborn and whines a lot. Then again I guess I would whine too, if I had to go thorough what Alyssa did.

Lysander is very protective with Alyssa and as you read you’ll find out it’s not only because he is the one that turned her. Lysander is very lonely and is in need of someone like Alyssa to keep him on his toes.

I recommend this book to UF readers that doesn't mind a good sex scene and romance readers that likes reading some on the dark side

Book two is Immortalis Hunters & Pray

I really enjoyed this collection of stories. I’m a big fan of shorts, and there are 9 of them in this 80 page book. Some have a touch of romance while others are strictly strangers enjoying each other in a very carnal way. I usually prefer a lot more romance in my books, but Sharazade is such an excellent writer that I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It’s hard to pick my favorite, but the ménage would probably be it. I enjoyed watching the woman learn to love her body exactly the way it is. Our flaws just make us real. I also enjoyed learning a bit about the world without feeling like I was getting a history lesson. I will never travel again without thoughts of these stories flitting through my mind.
