she couldn't believe her eyes.
Stressed out ad-exec Dakota wandered into Catamount Outfitters in search of a guide for a wilderness excursion. She didn't expect to be greeted by not one, but five of the most ruggedly delicious-looking men she'd ever seen. Not to mention a live cougar guarding the shop.
The Falke brothers have more than just good looks in their genes.
Eldest brother Axel agrees to guide Dakota on her mountain trek. In cougar form, Axel's twin, Gunnar, was there as a protection from predators—but he had his eye on the sexy client instead.
Into the wild...
While the rule with clients was "paws-off," both Axel and Gunnar couldn't resist Dakota's seductive Native American beauty and determination. As cold days led to hot nights in the cabin, Axel and Gunnar wondered if they'd finally found a woman strong enough to tame them...

Sexual-
Two sexy shape-shifters, snow and some very hot sex in a cabin, who can ask for anything more, not me. This was a very exciting fast pace read, I just couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see how it was all going to end up. I love how these authors write their shape-shifters cats and now I want more..… You find hot sex by a ménage trio M/F/M with anal play/intercourse, humor and some action. There is a good connection between these three.

Warning! These shifters give a back massage in their cat forms, so cute!!

Dakota never in her wildest dreams would have expected a vacation like this one. After finding she was the third wheel with her friend and fiancé, Dakota decided to take go on a tour by herself. What happened after she got into a Jeep to leave with the hot guide and the huge cougar was a total different story and a hot one at that because that is not a normal cougar. When Dakota, Axel and Gunnar finds themselves in a avalanche everything changes. Will things heat up more or fall apart? You have to read and find out. I love reading Dakota, she is strong and knows what she wants, as a matter a fact, she is the one who starts the first sex scene and I liked that change of pace.

You get 6 brothers in this shape-shifter family. Two of them will be the lucky winners for a mate in this book and they are Gunnar and Axel. These two have always known they would share a mate and when they find that special someone they would have to reveal themselves as shifters. When it was time for that to happen with Dakota, things just didn’t go as planned and in the turn of events to come they just may lose her. I liked both Gunnar and Axel both has different attitudes. I also loved how both of them shared being the cat.

I also really liked the sister Heidi and the rest of the characters. I would recommend this book to erotic paranormal lovers, especially if you like shape shifting large cats. I hope there will be more books for these great characters.

Review of CONTROL FREAK: BRANDON'S STORY

CONTROL FREAK: BRANDON’S STORY
Reena Jacobs
September 2010
Erotic Short Story

Brandon is an overworked husband with a wife who wants a little too much. Sex, that is. When his wife starts throwing him hints about bondage and masochism, he's sure she's flipped. In the end, Brandon must decide which lines he's willing to cross for the women he loves.

Sexual

Regina plays the sex card with Brandon, withholding any and all until he surrenders to her desires. She wants something more than vanilla sex in the bedroom. Whereas, Brandon doesn’t know if he can perform up to her expectations, nor does know if he wants to. Finally, after several days of enduring Regina’s relentless prick-teasing, Brandon takes the upper hand.

Yes, this is a short story all right, 10 pages. This is written from Brandon’s POV, which I enjoyed very much. I liked the banter between Regina and Brandon: She would push his buttons; he would squirm.

As a note, this is not a romance, but an erotic short story. As the couple is married, it does have an HEA. However, when I see the words “bondage” and “masochism” in a book blurb that is what I am expecting. What I read was more of a “slap and tickle”. In spite of this, I expect to see more of Ms. Jacobs writing in the future.

Guest author Laura Hunsaker with giveaway of Highlander Destiny

Please welcome Historical author Laura Hunsaker!!

I started writing this as the typical author bio, and how I got into writing...and I then I chucked it.  I wanna talk hunky Alpha Males. Why do you think women want to read about Alphas? My answer is probably totally unrealistic, but I'd love to be looked at by some incredibly hot laird, or werewolf, or vampire, and just be told "Woman, you are mine." Then he'd haul me over his shoulder and take me to his man-cave and we'd spend endless nights exploring each others' bodies and falling asleep sated and in love.

Riiiight.

In real life, if some guy told me that, I'd think "Stalker!"  But in Romancelandia, it works.  Why is that?

I got to thinking that it might be the whole fantasy thing. I read for both escapism, the chance to "be" someone else, if only for a few hours. And I read because it's more fun for me than TV (granted with 2 small kids, my tv programs are usually Spongebob and the Wiggles). But  If you read some of those early bodice rippers (the kind with Fabio on the cover), you get a lot of forced seduction.  And they would fly off the shelves! Why? What's the draw?  And I truly think it's because in our fantasies, we are "safe."  But in my fantasy, maybe I don't want safe...

Well, my fantasy started with me and some hottie Scottie hunky highlander (I'm known as the Highland Hussy after all).  But I still want to be my snarky sarcastic lovely self with this chauvinistic Scottish Alpha male.  Instantly I've time-traveled to Scotland.  But I need him to not only believe me, but believe in me as well.

And that's how I started my book, Highland Destiny.

I'm not some super kick-ass heroine like Buffy, but I am a strong woman of the 21st century and I wanted my character to reflect that.  I know we suspend belief when we read fiction, but I don't want it to be too "out there." So I made Mackenzie a believable girl from our time.  But something has to tie her to my Alpha male's century. So I gave her a dream.  A recurring nightmare that she's had since she can remember.  And spoiler alert...it's not about our hero Connor.

So how does she get him to believe she's not just a nut job or a witch?  How does she show him that she's not affiliated with his rival clan, as he is led to believe? All these things factor into how my Alpha hero is going to treat her, and how she's going to not only deal with the time-travel, but how will she survive?

Highland Destiny blurb:

Mackenzie Stewart’s in Scotland for a much-needed vacation.  During the castle tour, Mackenzie becomes completely enamored with a painting of one of the previous lairds.  Two gentlemen come up behind her and, begging her pardon, they kidnap her, dragging her through time.
The men are sorcerers attempting to end a feud that has plagued their lands for years.  Their patron has begun to dabble in the black arts, and between his irrational thirst for power, and his dark secret, the sorcerers are frightened.  They believe Mackenzie can break the Stewart curse.  They try to convince her to play along with their crazy scheme: marriage to the evil John Campbell.
Before Mackenzie can protest, her carriage is halted and the door thrown open.  For a split-second she is arrested by the same beautiful piercing blue eyes that belonged in an oil painting.
Mackenzie then finds herself the victim of a second kidnapping!
Her new captor, however, does nothing but tempt her body and her temper.  Believing her to in fact be the betrothed of his mortal enemy the Campbell, Connor originally sets out to capture his enemy’s betrothed.  He never thought he would be so attracted to her that he’d want to keep her.

December 2010 Discussion of the month. Book social cataloging sites.

Ok. I hope I titled this one right. Our discussion this month is, book social cataloging sites.

Places I know of is Goodreads, Shelfari and librarything.

What's your favorite place to keep track of your books?
Do you have more then one?
Which one do like the least?
Any other comments about social Cataloging?

My favorite place is Goodreads. I love the easy flow and I have no problems finding a book to mark to read.
Yes, I use both goodreads and shelfari.
My least favorite is Shelfari. I find it hard to use the site and to tell you the truth I have a hard time finding a book on there.
What I like most is the friends I have made on these sites.
