The Unseelie King (Dark Fae) falls in love/lust with the Seelie Queen (Good Fae), but she doesn’t love him - - so, he kidnaps her. Fast forward. . . She bears him twin sons and then takes off with one, Crom, but leaves the other one, Niall. Oh yeah, she also leaves one nasty curse behind too. Each of the Unseelie King’s sons will be cursed with a Cardinal Sin. In order for the Unseelie Court to thrive, the Sons will have to find their virtue/mate. That said mate will have to come to them of their own free will.

George Buckman, Duke of Lennox, has made a deal with the devil(s). Trouble is, he doesn’t know which one is worse. And when it comes time to pay his dues, both parties are looking to collect the same piece of booty bounty. This part of the story and the basic storyline, I really enjoyed. Watching the two battling Courts: Seelie and Unseelie. Wanting the best Fae to win, but not always knowing who the best Fae will be. Niall and Rinion are Dark Fae that will not be denied.

Chastity (a way of life that does not include any sexual activity): One entity. She cannot separate herself from her virtue. Thane and Lust: Two entities yet one, and both must be satisfied. A deliberate and, at times, tedious seduction of Chastity begins. For that to occur, Thane taps into Chastity’s darkest desire (aha moment). He surrounds, envelopes, and overwhelms her with his physical essence by way of fog, cloud, mist and perfume. Until she finally caves. Yet, he wasn’t supposed to use any Fae magic. There were two scenes in particular that were troublesome for me; more so what happens to Chastity immediately afterward. Although, it has more to do with my distaste of love making by spectral means. Oh, but the pointy ear scene was vera, vera nice.

What had possessed her? She had not been able to resist the lure. And yet, it had been a dream. No. She had been awake, but in some altered state. A fantasy. Yes. That is what it had been.

It will be quite a while before I look at a glass perfume bottle without cynicism.

Oh wait…a dream, a horrible dream…Bobby?!?

A nice short but sweet 50 page read. The Folk Lore concept comes alive in this short story when it comes to were-wolves, only instead of becoming a were-wolf, finding a cure to become mortal/human again is in the mix when Stella and Darien discover their love is worth losing Dariens immortality so he can age and spend the rest of his life with Stella. The romance was sweet/steamy and had a small erotica scene with good taste.

I really enjoyed this novella from beginning to end. I liked how Vivian Kees brings this short story together with such good details when starting from scratch with no back story. The main characters, widow Eugenia and her unlikely love interest Cal are great for each other.

In the beginning we find out Eugenia has lost everything that she has worked so hard for thanks to her deceased husband and his gambling ways. Now she is at the mercy of the man who is the new owner of her home, Mr. Hawthorne. As the time passes, Eugenia has to decide whether she is willing to do what it takes to keep her life as it is and never go back to where she came from. Which means she might have to agree to Cal's indecent proposal. It was delicious to read how Cal is affected by just the sight of Eugenia and how he behaved at there first meeting. I definitely wasn't expecting that!! Hot! My favorite thing about romance Novellas are that they get right into the relationship of the couple and I was so excited Vivian Kees didn't disappoint! Good Job!!

I only wish it would have been longer. I can't wait to read a full length book from the author.

I’m a mom that loves to read romance. My favorite sub-genre is paranormal but I like to mix it with historical, mystery and sci-fi romance. I’m very pick when it comes to endings, I like them to be “Happy Ever After” so I tend to steer clear of reading Urban Fantasy.
Besides reading I have an addiction for gaming, so every weekend when I am taking time away from the cares of blogging I'm found on my PC, PS3 or Wii. My favorite game is the The Sims 3 on PC, but I have to confess I have a lead foot, so to take care of  my itch by playing the latest release of Need For Speed on my PS3.
Happy reading!

My love of reading developed in high school with the dreaded Eng Lit 101. I was enthralled with the heroes, monsters, gods and goddesses of Greek mythology. I also had a keen interest in the classic movie monsters: Frankenstein, The Wolfman, The Mummy and Dracula. It was the vampire myth that intrigued me the most. My reading would consist mostly of mainstream fiction (never a romance) with a sprinkling of history, biography, and a few others thrown in. There was little time for reading though when it came to raising a family and working full-time. I was lucky if I read four books a year.

The year 2009 was a revelation for me: I discovered TRUE BLOOD and Charlaine Harris. (I like the books better and I’m an Eric Babe!) Shortly after 2009 began, I was no longer gainfully employed - having a grand time being a SAHG, with time to R-E-A-D! After devouring what Sookie Stackhouse books were available at the time, I researched paranormal series and headed off to B&N with list in hand. They didn’t have the first book of the series that I really, really, really, REALLY wanted to read. But while I was in there lollygagging around, I struck-up a conversation with a lovely young woman. She had the book I was looking for in her pocketbook and she gave it to me - YES - GAVE IT TO ME! True Story! I never got her name, but I will never forget her because that book was my introduction to the romance genre. (And I have found the generosity, kindness, and friendliness of the romance community since then too.)

Now, there isn’t much I don’t read in the romance genre; well, except for inspirational and in a pinch I might read that. I still like to read all types of fiction and non-fiction, but I have found myself caught up in this romance roller-coaster and I’m having a blast! If I had to list my romance reading preferences, I guess it would look something like this: suspense, paranormal, historical, m/m, contemporary, sci-fi. And of course, you can pair the sub-genre of erotic with any of those.

WildAboutBones

I love to read! I don't read books, I devour them voraciously. My current favorite genres are Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Erotica, Fantasy, Horror, Young Adult (even though I haven't been one of these in a long time), Sci-Fi and Mainstream and "Blockbuster" Fiction.

I grew up watching the wonderful old Universal Studios & Hammer B-movie monster films on Friday nights - Dracula, Frankenstein, The Wolfman, The Mummy, The Thing, Cat People, I was a Teenaged Werewolf, The Day The Earth Stood Still, etc. Then something wonderful happened when I was in the 8th grade. I was lent a copy of Anne Rice's Interview with a Vampire and I was hooked. At summer camp that year, I borrowed a copy of The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty. I then found Chelsea Quinn Yarbro's Saint-Germain vampire series and there was no turning back. (LOL, No, Mom did not know I was reading these.) Thereafter, I couldn't get enough of Anne Rice, Stephen King, Brian Lumley (his Necroscope series rocks!), Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, Robin Cook and Clive Barker just to name a few. I still read these authors, but once I found Laurell K. Hamilton in 1993 and J.R. Ward in 1999 my tastes turned more to the Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance genres - L.A. Banks helped too.

Professionally I've done many things such as customer service, technical support, marketing design and copywriting, webmaster, UNIX system administrator, programmer, application designer, database architect and programmer and lipstick lady {grin} to name a few.

Currently a freelance editor & proofreader, I read a lot. I read very fast. I average a book (400-500 pages) a day - the ladies at the Library know me by name since I'm in there so often. LOL! This lets me catch continuity issues easily. And as an added benefit, because every thing is fresh in my mind, I can write my reviews quickly.

What's up with "WildAboutBones"? No, I don't have a skeleton fetish. I do however adore Jeaniene Frost's Bones character in her Night Huntress series.

I'm a 28 year old domestic goddess that loves to live vicariously through books. I'm happily married to man who is as obsessed with music as I am to books. We have a six year old son that is fascinated with zombies.  Our family currently lives in England, but thanks to good 'ol Uncle Sam we have resided in 4 states and 3 countries. Originally from the South I'm on the receiving end of a lot of laughs when I say things like "ya'll" and "sweet tea". I love all romance books but have a particular affection for paranormal and sci/fi :)

I am a mom, full time employee, and part time student.  With so much of my day taken up by others, I have found that reading is the perfect way for me to relax, unwind, and take a deep breath.  I was lucky to have parents that encouraged my reading from a very young age, and I only hope I can do as well for my own two little ones.  I grew up reading fantasy and contemporary fiction, but once I got a little older I discovered how much fun romance could be.  The best part was I could find romance books that over-lapped in just about every other genre, including my favorite - fantasy.  Paranormal romance has begun to overtake my library at home where I have about 800 or so paper books, and 300 or more in electronic format.  It may sound strange, but I really have a hard time packing them up or getting rid of them - I never know when I'll want to pick one up again.

When I'm not reading, you can find me playing computer MMORG (massively multi-player online roleplaying games).  My current game of choice is EverQuest II.  I may even occasionally pick up the good old Rock Band or Guitar Hero on the xBox and "jam" for awhile to expand some extra energy.  You'd be surprised how much exercise you can get on the drum kit!

I'm a 33 year old married mother of 2 teenagers. I am a full time teacher, part time student as well. I also have a small addiction to reading and books. I will read anything and everything. I have yet to find a genre that I can't handle. My ultimate downtime is sipping a few glasses of wine on my front porch while escaping to another world and life.

I am a 32 year old stay at home mother of two girls. I've only been home with my second child so it's only been a little over 1 year and it's been a wonderful experience (I didn't really have a chance to do so with my first). As far as my work experience goes I've done so many things in quite a few industries, I've been a sales associate in clothing stores, hostess at restaurants and a front desk manager and makeup artist at a salon and recently a sales assistant for a seafood wholesale vender. I've pretty much always been in the food industry with restaurateurs being family friends and such. I've always loved reading but got really into it in my teens. I absolutely love paranormal books wether thriller, romance or erotica. I love mystery and thrillers and crime as well. Anne Rice is my favorite and my intro into the genre. I also love Larissa Ione, Heather Killough-Walden, Charlaine Harris. I'm currently reading the Black Dagger Brotherhood and I'm sure there are many more authors out there I need to acquaint myself with lol. Out of all of the sups I would say vampires are my favorite, lest at started my love for them, there is just something I love about the dark brooding sexy mysterious beings, but I love all supers.  My only hobbies other than reading are word games, yes I know total nerd lol, but I love word search games and words with friends and stuff like that. I also like to cook, it's so much fun preparing a meal and then devouring it. Lol. My favorite seasons are fall and spring just sitting outside in the beautiful weather reading a book. My favorite shows are True Blood, CSI, The Closer and recently Grim, and most of the shows on ID Discovery. As far as having a favorite book there are just way too many for me to decide lol, but if I really had to choose it would be The Vampire Lest at by Anne Rice. I mostly prefer paranormal books but will read almost anything.  There's not really much else I can say.

Interview with Paranormal Romance/Erotica/Science Fiction Romance author Felicity Heaton

Please welcome Paranormal Romance/Erotica author Felicity Heaton

Ronda – Hello Felicity, thank you so much for taking the time out to do this Interview. I absolutely love Her Angel Romance Series! Would you please tell those who don’t know about them a little about Her Angel Romance Series?

Felicity – Hi Ronda. Thanks for interviewing me. My Her Angel series takes a look at a world that exists within our world, one that we don’t normally see. In it, angels work for a higher power and they watch over us, protecting us from demons intent on doing us harm. Those angels are very loyal to their master and their duty, but they’re also very passionate men and sometimes their loyalty to their duty is tested by the most powerful force in nature—love. The heroes I’ve written so far in the Her Angel series have all been very different, not just in the duty they perform, and have all fallen for a very different type of heroine. I like mixing things up and exploring new worlds, and the Her Angel series has given me a chance to do that. I spent quite a long time building the world, thinking about all the different duties an angel might perform, and looking at theories on them, and then creating my own type of angel. I’ve separated them out into areas of expertise. In the series so far, we’ve met Apollyon, who guards the Devil in Hell and is also one of the angels of the Apocalypse, Lukas, who is more of an intermediary, and Einar, a warrior whose duty is hunting down demons who threaten mankind. In the novel in the series, which will be available in mid-2011, we meet Marcus, who is a guardian.

Ronda – What made you write about these Angels?

Felicity – I’ve always had a deep love for the paranormal and anything fantastical. I was wondering what to write next one day, thinking about my usual vampires, werewolves, witches or shape-shifters, and then the muse suggested angels. It didn’t take too long before the character that became Apollyon was in my head. After that, I started researching and found information on an angel named Apollyon and he fitted my character perfectly, so I based part of him on those theories. My hero Apollyon is a dark angel, somewhat dangerous and deadly, and mysterious, just like the one in mythology. When he came together, he brought his world and Serenity with him. She’s sort of the light to his darkness. The combination of Apollyon and Serenity made it really fun to write the first book, and it wasn’t long into the first draft before I realized that I wanted to write more angels and make it a series. I loved having the chance to see if feathers could be as sexy as fangs. I think I’ve proven that they are. All three of the heroes so far in the series have captured the attention of many female readers!

Ronda - How many books do you plan on writing in this series?

Felicity – I have three novellas in the series available at the moment—Her Dark Angel, Her Fallen Angel, and Her Warrior Angel. I’m planning a novel in the series right now. Her Guardian Angel will feature a new hero and heroine, but will also bring back all of the characters in the first three novellas too. It’s going to be a thrill ride full of twists and turns, and plenty of fighting so we can see just how destructive Apollyon can be when the mood strikes him!

Ronda – I love the whole mythology about angels and every time I read a book about one I learn something new like for instance that coffee and alcohol are sexual stimulants for angels. What was the hardest decision you have come across when deciding which part of the mythology about the angels you wanted to put in these stories?

Felicity – I took a lot of time to read about angels but in the end I wanted to explore them in a fresh way that would make them unique to my stories. In my world, the angels aren’t fallen. They’re still working for Heaven. Only Lukas is technically fallen, and even he’s trying to get back into Heaven. I wanted them to still be working for that higher power as it added a new level to the idea that they shouldn’t be falling in love with mortals. My angels have to fight harder to prove to the heroine that being with them is alright and it isn’t forbidden.

Although, in the case of the hero and heroine in Her Warrior Angel it is very forbidden because in my world an angel can’t love a demon, and Taylor, the heroine, is half-demon. I also considered just what would be important to an angel. Flying was the thing that struck me hardest, so I played on the idea that an angel might get a bit antsy if they couldn’t fly, or miserable if they were banned from flying. I also liked the idea that so much is forbidden to angels that they would have this almost human and childish sense of curiosity about the things they couldn’t do.

Heaven is gradually easing the restrictions but without telling the angels. So while alcohol was once a big no-no, it’s now acceptable. Lukas discovers that in Her Fallen Angel when he isn’t punished for drinking, and Apollyon is quick to question him about the effects and what it felt like to be drunk. Whenever I write supernatural or preternatural creatures, I like to read about the mythology and then try a new take on things to make it mine. I think it makes it more interesting for readers if they encounter something a little different from author to author.

Ronda – Do you have a favorite Angel?

Felicity – I guess I would be drawn to Apollyon. He’s supposed to be an angel, but there’s also all these theories about him that say he’s the Devil, or he’s the angel of death. He has some brilliant titles too, like The Great Destroyer and King of the Bottomless Pit. I think it adds to his allure that he’s so mysterious and no one really knows whether he’s good or bad. I wanted to play on that in Her Dark Angel. I couldn’t believe how perfectly one of the mythical angels fitted into my story. Of course, I had to tweak him a little to make him my character and bring him to life.

Ronda – How do you come up with the right heroine for your Angels? Is there a process or do they just come while you’re writing?

Felicity – I’ve often said that I have a seriously busy train station in my head. Think Grand Central. Characters just show up, demanding attention. Once I have the hero down, or sometimes the heroine, their opposite number tends to come along too. I try to think about what sort of person the hero or heroine I have would be drawn to and fall for, or what type would provide the most interesting story.

Once I have a general idea for the characters, I work on them to give them little facets that allow them to play off each other, and in the end match each other perfectly. With Apollyon, I needed someone who would be very loving, and warm, and very light when compared with him. Almost his opposite really. Serenity is like that. She’s open, and thinks mostly about others, placing them before herself, and she’s very caring, so much so that she doesn’t really want to hurt her cheating ex, but she does want him to pay. When Apollyon suggests things akin to tossing him into Hell, she’s against it straight away and seeks a less harmful route to revenge, one that brings her a lot closer to Apollyon!

Ronda – Do you have a favorite heroine that you have picked out for one of your Angels?

Felicity – I really like Taylor, the heroine in Her Warrior Angel. She’s half demon, but so human at the same time. She doesn’t want to get hurt, and knows that love between her and an angel is impossible, but so is resisting her attraction to Einar. She’s afraid, wants to be strong and does her best, acting cool and keeping her distance. I think we’ve all been a little afraid of getting our heart broken and taking a risk, and I wanted to put those feelings into the story. She’s also really feisty and playful, teasing Einar even though he’s phenomenally powerful. She’s sassy. Probably the most sassy heroine in the series. Plus, she can hold her own. I like strong heroines who kick ass, but who aren’t invincible. Sometimes you’ve got to lean on the hero for support. Especially when he’s as gorgeous as Einar.

Ronda – Are there any plans for future spin offs from this series?

Felicity – No spin offs, but there may be more stories. I don’t have any ideas beyond the fourth and only novel so far, but there might be room for more. I’d have to think about Heaven a little more and the ranks of angels there as I’m cherry picking an angel from each unit. We’ve had one from the guardians in Hell, an intermediary, a warrior, and next is a guardian in Heaven. Although, Taylor in Her Warrior Angel does mention that the Devil and demons have their own version of angels. Perhaps I could write about a demonic angel.

Ronda – I see you have a couple other series that’s Sci/Fi Romance, can you tell us a little about those series?

Felicity – I have a few series. I have the Sons of Lyra and Daughters of Lyra series which I write as Felicity Heaton. They’re both science fiction romance. The Sons of Lyra series came first. It’s four short stories following the four handsome princes of Lyra as their hearts are finally captured by the women they’ll eventually marry. After that came the Daughters of Lyra series, which follows the daughters of those sons as they venture out into the universe and capture themselves a man. In that one, we meet a lot of different species, and I’ve played with vampires in space too. Plenty of forbidden love, action, danger and romance in them.

I also write the Vampires Realm series under my other pen name, F E Heaton. Vampires Realm is an ongoing paranormal romance series. At the moment, there are eight stories in the series, two of them are short freebies, but there’s also an epic trilogy, and two long novels. They’re quite dark as I like to write vampires with bite and no regrets. I don’t write apologetic vampires and werewolves who abstain from blood and don’t hurt people.

Many reviewers have commented on how I’ve managed to write such vicious unforgiving vampires in a way that doesn’t turn the reader off them but rather pulls them into the story instead. It’s a different world but one I think most readers would enjoy, especially if they’re looking for real vampires—deadly, sexy and dangerous. I’ve had readers writing to me since I first starting releasing stories in the series and a lot of them are quite addicted to the world. I have another story in the series coming out in February 2011, and then another later in the year. I really enjoy writing stories for the series and I’ve only just scraped the surface with the ones I’ve written. There’s a lot more to explore in the world, and I have around another six novel ideas waiting to be written and some shorter stories.

Ronda - Can you tell us a little on what your working on now for us to read next?

Felicity – I’m currently preparing to release Love Immortal under my Felicity Heaton name. It’s an epic, action-packed and passionate thrill-ride that combines vampires, immortals, mythology, Greek gods and goddesses, werewolves, and people with incredible powers. It’s a long novel and I’m currently posting free chapters of it on a special blog: http://loveimmortalromancenovel.blogspot.com/ – the book will be released on January 15th 2011 as an e-book, and then I’ll be releasing a paperback in late January/early February. I’m also editing Hunter’s Moon, which is the next Vampires Realm novel, and that’ll be released in February. Besides those two, I have another nine planned releases in 2011. Plenty to keep readers happy!

FUN QUESTIONS:

Ronda – What’s your favorite food to eat?

Felicity – I love Macaroni Cheese but my husband hates it, so whenever we go to my parents house, they make it for me. I like most Italian food, and also love Japanese food too.

Ronda – Do you have a favorite Movie or TV program that you watch?

Felicity – I’m currently really into Vampire Diaries. We’re quite behind in the UK, but as long as I avoid people talking about it, I don’t get hit with spoilers. I think Stefan is a wimp though. Not my kind of vampire. I also watch a lot of anime. That’s my favourite thing to watch.

Ronda – What’s your favorite color?

Felicity – Purple and Black (although technically Black is a shade)

Ronda – Do you have any pets?

Felicity – I have one ball of fur, teeth and claws. Koyo is a cat that can be loving one second and tearing your arm off the next. She’s lovely really, but she’s super-playful and has gained herself quite a few nicknames because of her behaviour. She also hides from my family or any strangers who come over to my house. Of course, if they go upstairs, she’ll block them so they can’t get back down again. It’s funny to me but my family don’t share my opinion.

Her Dark Angel
Felicity Heaton

An angel without a mission, Apollyon lives trapped in Hell guarding the bottomless pit. Surrounded by endless darkness, he longs to fly free on Earth once more but his master hasn’t called him in centuries. When the call finally comes, it’s to serve a new master, a beautiful woman he has often watched over, a woman who has always captivated him.

Serenity is shocked when a gorgeous black-winged angel shows up in her city of Paris claiming that she called him when she was only casting a simple vengeance spell. He’s no other than the angel of death! When Apollyon offers to obey her and help her have revenge on her cheating ex-boyfriend, she can’t resist the temptation, but can she resist him? Can an angel as dark as Apollyon ever fall for a mortal woman like her?

Their charade as lovers quickly becomes reality when one dance leads to another and Apollyon proves that he’s as sinful as he looks. His sensual and hungry touch brings Serenity back to life, freeing her from the hurt of being betrayed and reigniting her passion, but she can’t ignore her growing fear. Lost in their moment together, Apollyon realises that there is a reason he heard her call—he’s in love with her.

But will Serenity see past the wings and believe that Apollyon returns her feelings and won’t hurt her? When her ex-boyfriend asks her to forgive him and be with him again, will she take the easy route or will she find the courage to fly away with her dark angel?

Her Warrior Angel
Felicity Heaton

Einar is one of Heaven’s best hunters and he’s on a mission to uncover why an angel was working with demons. When he finds the first demon fighting a beautiful woman named Taylor, he intervenes and saves her life. Taylor has spent her whole life protecting London from the lowest demons and she’s not about to let an angel waltz into her city and take over her job, and she’s certainly not about to fall in love with him, even if he is gorgeous. The reason why she can’t is simple—she’s half demon.
There is no love in this world more forbidden than that between an angel and a demon.
Sense tells Taylor to get out before she gets her heart broken, but she winds up convincing Einar to partner with her instead. Einar is certain that working with Taylor is a bad idea, and not only because he can’t focus when he’s around her, but he can’t let her go. The mission leads them deep into the city’s underworld, where old flames burn Taylor while new flames of passion and fear of the consequences consume them, and the threat of Einar’s demons hangs over them both.
Can a love so forbidden ever have a happy ending or are they destined to break each other’s hearts?

Review The Countess by Lynsay Sands

Title: The Countess (Madison Sisters #1)
Author: Lynsay Sands
Source: Netgelley
Genre: Historical romance
Format: Mass paperback from Avon 384 pgs.
Authors website

The fairy tale courtship did not turn into a happily ever after…

Not until her husband dropped dead, that is. He had been horrible enough to Christiana during their short marriage, and she was not going to allow the traditional period of mourning to ruin her sisters’ debuts as well. So Christiana decides to put him on ice and go on as if nothing’s happened…

Until the real earl appears. Richard Fairgrave had every intention of confronting his villainous twin who robbed him of his name and title…only to discover that he’d died. Quietly assuming his identity, Richard must now deal with a maddening desire for his ravishing inherited “wife”—certainly a gold digger and possibly a murderess. And Christiana must deal with an unwanted new “husband”…and they both must figure out what to do before the ice melts!

Fascinating, touching and wickedly sexy. I just love Lynsay Sands hot writing style. I found a mystery that had me stumped. An adventure that had me on the edge of my seat, the closing had me wanting more. If you’re an historical romance reader please add this one to your list to try, especially if you like your books on the spicy side with a touch of humor.

Few spoilers below

Christiana wound up married to a hateful disrespectful man. Now she has no way out. After a year of living with this man, her sisters came to visit. This is where Christiana finally finds a way out of her marriage and she doesn’t have to do a thing (you have to read to find out what happens), but find his body and put him on ice, while she helps find her sister a husband at this ball that night. While at the ball an unexpected thing happens the dead Duke shows up. Needless to say Christiana is floored along with her sisters.

While Richard has already had a bad life and finds himself back in England and at a ball where he also finds he is married. His wife is there with a look on her face that is shocking because is a look of horror. What’s a man to do when his brother has already messed up his life and now he finds that he has to save this woman and her sisters from a scandal that his brother has caused. Then again he just may find his life has turned for the better, he just has to clean up the mess his brother has caused and find the killer before he finds himself dead also.

I love the way Lynsay wrote this book. The sizzle that you find between Richard and Christiana is wonderful. Richard has to make sure he takes care of her and to let her know he is not his brother. She in turn has to learn to let go and be herself again. You get a good feel for the sisters, which books will be next because they are very interactive in the story.

When Rafe reveals he has been gifted with supernatural powers-powers he plans to use to kill the beast and save his brother, still held captive in the temple-Cynthia must face her own inner demons to fight alongside the man she loves.

Aztec gold is a thrilling archaeologist adventure. I loved the vivid detail the author brings to this story, it felt like I could be there. I would love to see this in the movies. I found this book to be a page turner with archaeologist adventure, danger, lots of blood, romance and supernatural powers.

I loved the romance between Rafe and Cynthia. They are already lovers and after the disappearance of Rafe, Cynthia goes to the Mexican jungle to see if he is still alive. There she finds not only a psycho demon-goddess, but a few more surprises along the way. The sex is hot, but be prepared there is more storyline than sex. I recommend this to all paranormal romance readers, especially if you like a hot archaeologist.

There is a place at the end where you’ll find a take off for another book. I hope to be able to read it one day.
