A rare Omega wolf with the gift of healing, Scarlet underwent her first shift to werewolf form while held captive by a pack of rogue Alphas. The abuse shattered her connection with her inner bitch and left her with a severe Alpha-phobia. A broken wolf link put her out of the mating game. But determined to serve a pack in need of her healing, she searches for the legendary werewolf whisperer on the chance he can work the miracle she needs.

Once he roamed North America guiding the broken wolves back to wholeness, but Daniel nearly lost his humanity the last time he tracked a rogue. Escaping from the whisperer business, he spent months in his true werewolf form. Now he’s the lone wolf sheriff in sleepy Cedar Grove. He likes peace and quiet in his territory, same as any good law officer, and the new redhead in town is pure trouble.
Two seconds after they meet, she's disturbing the hell out of his peace. She’s a pack princess and he's not interested in a pack sanctioned mating. Been there, done that, and still paying through the nose for the mistake. Leaving her alone is the right choice, but he can't deny that she smells delicious.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, BDSM theme and elements.

A taste of Scarlet is one hot wicked wolf tale, which I enjoyed. This is a loving BDSM romance book, not your typical hard core BDSM, so this one was right up my alley. I enjoyed the characters and the sex was pure hot. This book has fun, romance, sadness and excitement. At around 151 pages it won’t take long to read this hot wolf tale. I recommend this to any erotic paranormal reader that likes a hot male dominating.

Tease
“Let me go.” She squirmed in his unbreakable hold.
Much as he enjoyed the squirming, both wolfie boy and he knew she needed mastering—his. He pressed harder, subduing the rebellion. “Negotiations are over.”
“There were negotiations? I missed them.”
More sass? He bit back a grin of admiration. He inhaled, catching a note of smoky anger topping her wild berry fragrance. No tang of fear marred the complex blend.
Angry beat the hell out of scared.

Cynthia Eden tells a delicious tale of lies, deceit and danger in Deadly lies and let me tell you she sure didn’t skip out on the blazing hot sex in this book *still fanning self*. I sure hope Cynthia will keep writing more books for this series, because not only is this my favorite suspense series, but this book left me wanting to read more. The best part of Cynthia writing suspense romance is I’m getting to read a terrific romance along with the suspense, where most suspense writers skip out on the romance and just writes a good suspense. For those who haven’t tried this series all I can say is you’re missing out on a very talented author and one of the hottest series I have read in a while.

I liked Samantha from the first book, so I couldn’t wait for this book and Cynthia didn’t disappoint me a bit. If you read the second book you found Samantha going to a bar and picking up Max for sex. Well, she finds she isn’t done with him. Samantha goes and finds Max again, of course, she doesn’t plan on staying with him the rest of her life and so she lies to him about a few things and all goes as planned, until Max’s stepbrother gets kidnapped by the very kidnappers the SSD have been working on trying to find. Now her lies are laid out into the open, but Max has a few of his own. This book is so tangled with lies from Samantha, Max and his stepbrother you never catch on to who the real killer is. This is a book that has so many twisted events; it will keep you turning pages as fast as you can to see if you were guessing the killer right. So far this is my favorite book out of all three of them. Now go get the first book out of this series if you haven’t already and read.
You don't have to read this series in order, but I would suggest it if you can.

I love how Adrian sticks to the series, 8 books and she has never faltered from the romance and basic storyline like most series authors. This is a good story, just not one of the best I’ve read from Adrian. I loved that Jenna was not one of the breeds, but I wanted to know what exactly Jenna was and how her and Brock was going to make things work out between them since she wasn’t a breed. I guess I like clear closure, than again who knows maybe Adrian will bring Jenna out more in the coming books. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Hunting Human is a very compelling emotional read. Be warned this book can be brutal. I truly enjoyed this book I couldn’t put it down even though I found the story with a back in fourth relationship between the hero and heroine and the heroine at times very shellfish. I just had to keep reading about this human lady being put in a brutal situation with a pack of wolves. Then after she meets Braden Beth is put in another dangerous situation that could cost her and Braden’s relationship. I did fell the need to smack Beth at times the way she acted, but with what she went through before and after she met Braden, I am sure I would have been on the defensive too.

The sex tension between Braden and Beth is very high, but the sex is on the lighter side then most paranormal reads, I still found it very nice. I enjoyed the characters and I hope to read more on the Edwards family. The Villains are brutal and add a lot to the story. I highly recommend any PNR reader to try this story.

My Review -

Set in Ireland we meet the extremely good-looking and charming Reynardine who lives a solitary life due to his curse of being a werewolf. Not that he has any problems finding bed partners, in fact in the openly scene we find him waking up from a one-night stand, but he is frustrated by his inability to develop a long-term relationship with anyone.

That is until he meets Agnis who comes to his hamlet to work on her doctoral thesis regarding the re-introduction of wolves to Ireland. Upon setting eyes on Agnis, Reynardine finds himself drawn to her the moment she enters the pub upon her arrival in town. What starts off as a "knight in shining armor" rescue of Agnis from a drunk turns to instant heat for each other.

From the beginning of the book to around the midpoint I was able to accept their instant attraction to each other, but even during that point some things just didn't feel right to me. One of the problems I had with the book was with Agnis and her how she act, think and feels. One moment hot and obsessed with Reynardine and then the next stating the opposite that her work comes first and she needs to focus on her thesis. It became hard to understand what she wanted when she seems to act like a nymphomaniac at one point and then pull away from Reynardine to focus on her job. The other aspect is that she keeps saying this is a one-night stand (even though it drags out over several weeks), yet in the next breath she wishes that she could have Reynardine forever. She constantly goes back and forth stating that she knows Reynardine is hers and accepts her for who she is, but at the same time she is afraid he will reject her.

Then from the middle to the end of the book that is where it really fell apart for me. At this point the storyline with the wolves took center stage to the point it dragged out so long I found myself falling asleep. The whole issue with the wolves was not intriguing at all. Some references to Agnis' background and why this whole project was so important to her was never established. Along with the fact that once revelations are made near the end of the book she once again reacts one way and in the very next breath says and does the complete opposite. I was completely confused as how the character could do such an about face without any further elaboration. Reynardine on the other hand, he knew what he felt for Agnis was real and wanted to make her part of his life. However due to his condition he knew the implications and what he would be exposing Agnis to. You couldn't help not wanting Reynardine to have a "happily ever after".

In the end this book was ok if all you wanted to focus on was the graphic sex scenes, which included some masturbation using an instrument, some anal play and lots of hot sex, but in terms of plot and fluidity of the storyline it fell flat.

My Review -

Blood Red is the first book in the Chronicles of the Cursed series by Aline de Chevigny that follows a powerful vampire Mikael De Wohlf and his personal assistant Annabella who tries to avoid his advances despite her attraction. This was a fun, short read revolving a vampire who can have any woman he desires because of his good looks, charm and power and a woman who despises his past and his tactics as being ruthless with his enemies. Yet Mikael is drawn to her and finds that his heart becomes alive whenever she is around and wishes to make her his. Annabella on the other hand has been fighting off the feelings that he invokes in her for quite some time but feels that he cannot give her what she truly desires. Over time she now finds her defenses slowing breaking down as Mikael is determined to show her pleasure beyond her wildest dreams.

It was enjoyable to see the building sexual tension develop in the story that results in them unleashing their passion upon each other. There is an interesting twist regarding vampire mythology that the author introduces near the end of the story that is intriguing and I will leave for you the reader to discover.

Guest author Misty Burke with giveaway!

Hi everyone! I’m excited to be visiting with you on Bitten by Paranormal Romance.

I wanted to talk to you today about eternal love. For even though Valentine’s Day is past us now, the fairy tale love it represents still lingers on throughout the year. It’s that prince in shining armor little girls dream of. It’s the man riding in on his white horse to save the day.
The chocolates (that have long since been eaten), the flowers (which have wilted away), and the cards (that have been misplaced somewhere) are all just a glimmer of the romance we truly desire. What we really want, what we really crave, is for our fairy tale to come true.
My latest book, The Genie of the Portrait, is about that kind of fairy tale love. My heroine has been plagued with a bad boyfriend that we can all relate too … but she finds a Genie who can change everything. All she has to do is make a wish.

Here is a little teaser –
Amanda had always been forgiving, until the night of her engagement. It was at that moment, when she found her new fiancé banging the waitress in the bathroom, that she changed. Never again. Men were not going to use her ever again.

So when she found William’s portrait and learned that his whole purpose for existing was to let her use him, an electrifying relationship resulted. This genie offered her three nights of pleasure. And Amanda quickly realized she wanted more.

What do you wish for? What is the fairy tale that is locked in your own heart? I would like to give an ebook copy of The Genie of the Portrait to one lucky person who participates in this “Post your wish” contest. So please post and share your idea of eternal love.

I was stunned as I was reading Stolen Dreams this book was nothing what I was expecting at all. Its’ filled with emotions and great characters. I couldn’t read fast enough, I had to find out what was going to happen between a ghost and the ghost seer. As I was reading I could see how all of this was going to play out in my head I was really felling it until I got to the end and found I was wrong and I was also left FREAKING HANGING….. Ugh, this is still me after 2 days.

I NEED THE NEXT BOOK NOW!! Hand it over STACEY!!

Yes, the hero (the ghost) and heroine (the seer) are still together, but they are abruptly cut off as Stacey leaves you hanging with thought’s rolling around in your head on how this all is still going to play out. You may think this is bad, it really not, when an author can write a book and leave you not only stunned, but in awe with their writing, well that’s a good thing to me. My problem is I like closer and this book just didn’t give me that, so I tend to whine about it for days. I am pathetic I know LOL.

Now, that I got that out of the way. I loved the story and the romance between Kipp and Tess is great. Of course, the sexual tension is at an all-time high because these two just can get it on with Kipp being a ghost. You do get one very hot dream that almost seams real. LOL I must admit it sound creepy, but this book never came across anyway like that to me. The murder case is very good and it also kept me guessing the whole time. I recommend to people who can stand a good continuing ghost series with plenty of sexual tension.

Mistletoe at Midnight by LB Gregg
Owen McKenzie has traveled to Vermont to spend an old-fashioned Christmas with his family when he finds himself staying at the same inn as his first love. Owen is disconcerted to realize he's still attracted to Caleb Black but refuses to pursue him. Caleb left him once, and Owen's not going down that road again.

Caleb is ready for a second chance with Owen and gets it when fate and the matchmaking McKenzies conspire to strand the two men in a rustic cabin during a snowstorm on Christmas Eve. Can Caleb convince Owen to rekindle their romance so they can stop spending their holidays apart?

Nine Lights Over Edinburgh by Harper Fox
Detective Inspector James McBride is riding high on the belief that he's about to bust a human-trafficking ring. But just five days before Christmas, his unorthodox methods catch up with him and his world comes crashing down.

McBride tries to concentrate on his new day job as security for the visiting Israeli ambassador. He even starts to feel a renewed sense of self-worth when the leader of the Israeli team, the aristocratic Tobias Leitner, takes a bullet for him in the line of duty. But he can't forget the trafficking case, especially when his investigations result in the kidnapping of his own daughter! McBride has no one to turn to for help-no one, except Toby.

Can these two very different men work together to bring about a holiday miracle-and heal one another's heart in the process?

I Heard Him Exclaim by Z.A. Maxfield
Who Likes a Skinny Santa?

Steve Adams's heart hasn't been in the Christmas spirit ever since doctors put a stent in it and ordered him to clean up his act. No longer filling out his Santa suit or allowed to make merry, he's forgoing the holidays this year and heading to Vegas to indulge in the few vices left to him: gambling and anonymous sex.

His road trip takes a detour when he encounters Chandler Tracey, who's just inherited guardianship of his five-year-old niece. Overwhelmed, Chandler's on his way to deliver Poppy to his parents. But fate has other plans and, after car trouble, Chandler and Poppy accept a ride home with Steve. Though the heat between the two men is obvious, they put it on simmer while they band together to make Poppy's Christmas as perfect as possible.

Steve soon comes to believe that while Chandler is the right person to look after Poppy, someone needs to look after Chandler. Fortunately, Steve knows just the man for the job.

Yes, a Christmas anthology, but it doesn’t need to be the holidays to enjoy these deliciously romantic stories. I applaud Carina Press for putting together such talent and delivering a sweet seasonal treat.

Mistletoe at Midnight by LB Gregg
Owen and Caleb fell in love during high school but were separated due to circumstances beyond their control. Now 15 years later, they are brought together, due to circumstances beyond their control. They must confront the past and hope for the future. I enjoyed the parts of the story told in flashback; getting the opportunity to watch the beginning of Owen and Caleb’s relationship. Owens’ Mom and Brother are your typical loving “interfering” family members. They are a hoot!

Nine Lights Over Edinburgh by Harper Fox
A mesmerizing story of a desperate man who loses himself in alcohol and gambling. Detective Inspector James McBride is a lonely man who feels comfortable when out on his “streets”. But his descent into the darkness has its price, and McBride must face the consequences of his actions. Just watching McBride open up and realize there are different types of love and that he is worthy of love was a beautiful metamorphosis.

I Heard Him Exclaim by Z.A. Maxfield
You couldn’t have a Christmas anthology without Santa Claus - this one even has elves! Steve has had enough problems this past year and heads to “Sin City” Vegas for the holidays. On his way he runs into Chandler and Poppy who are having auto problems. There is an immediate attraction. Chandler feels insecure and irresponsible. He isn’t cut out for the job of parenting - not ready for a kid. (Does this sound familiar to any parents out there? It did to me.) Steve on the other hand is the opposite when it comes to kids - plenty of nephews and nieces. Poppy even calls Steve “Santa Claus”. I couldn’t help but chuckle when reading the stolen moments quickie between Steve and Chandler. *grin*

Icecapade by Josh Lanyon
How can you not love a seasonal read when the leading characters are: The Diamond Thief Noel Snow and The FBI Special Agent Robert Cuffe! Those names just rock! These two have it bad. I mean B.A.D. After one hot night, they haven’t seen or spoken to each other in 10 years - 10 frellin’ years!! There is a reason to their madness. Noel and Robert had to survive their chosen career paths to reclaim a passion they once shared. Noel is surprised when Robert knows so much about him. And Robert is so, so alpha: strong, silent type.

Now, you may be wondering why only the Sexual Rating of Steamy. Yes, the man love is HAWT! But it is not the sole focus of the story. It adds to the development of the relationship between the characters. What I found present in each of the tales was a breathtaking romance.
