"Raider had spent years honing his front, but as Sophia calmly assessed his erection it occurred to him--no male holds the upper hand when his pants are around his knees." After seventeen mating refusals, sea dragoness Sophia Aleahar is getting more than a little desperate. But when she swims to a potential mate to convince him to reconsider, she's taken hostage by shark-shifter pirates. Mere-shark hybrid Raider ShaCrayz has spent ten years in the hold of his father's ship. The tiny dragoness prisoner inspires his most vicious and most gentle impulses. When she offers him freedom in exchange for helping her lure a mate, Raider decides he wants to be more than just a beast on a chain. Raider desires her like no male ever has, but Sophia needs to learn that no handsome dragon is worth more than the bad-boy shark who loves her.

Creatively Written!

In this fascinating world within the sea, every species rules within their own hierarchy schools/councils whether they are sharks, mere-folk/dolphins, or even sea dragons. Yes these creatures are shape-shifters and some can walk on land depending on which species they are. They even inter-mate with each other creating halfblooded creatures.

This is the third installment of the Ocean Shifters series and though I haven’t read the first two books in the series, this book took me a little to get into at the beginning trying to understand and get the feel of this new shape-shifter world but after about 30 or 40 pages I was totally hooked and drawn into the story not wanting to put the book down. I will definitely be reading the first two books now.

The story was amazing and I loved the idea behind the plot. The sea creature’s characters were totally awesome and their personalities fit their species. Raider (shark/mere-man), sexy tough guy and Sophia (Sea Dragon), an innocent female, encounters between each other were very comical but their erotic love scenes were totally HOT.

I loved the good/bad guy scientist in the story and loved good overcoming evil. The Scientist David and the Mere-man Nereus relationship were sweet with the short M/M erotic scenes and were left open in the end; and I hope to read more about them both in future books.

Their lives were perfect . . .
Lady Hero Batten, the beautiful sister of the Duke of Wakefield, has everything a woman could want, including the perfect fiancé. True, the Marquis of Mandeville is a trifle dull and has no sense of humor, but that doesn't bother Hero. Until she meets his notorious brother . . .

Until they met each other.
Griffin Remmington, Lord Reading, is far from perfect - and he likes it that way. How he spends his days is a mystery, but all of London knows he engages in the worst sorts of drunken revelry at night. Hero takes an instant dislike to him, and Griffin thinks that Hero, with her charities and faultless manners, is much too impeccable for society, let alone his brother. Yet their near-constant battle of wits soon sparks desire - desire that causes their carefully constructed worlds to come tumbling down. As Hero's wedding nears, and Griffin's enemies lay plans to end their dreams forever, can two imperfect people find perfect true love?

Elizabeth Hoyt wowed me with her hot romantic writing of Notorious Pleasures. This book is the same as the first Maiden Lane book, it’s filled with romance, passion, adventure, with the addition of a little danger. You’ll find yourself trying to turn the pages faster to find out what’s going to happen next. I myself never like a hero like the ladies man ,Griffin, but the way this author wrote Griffin’s passion for Hero was just outstanding. I loved the wild ways the author found for Griffin and Hero to take their Notorious Pleasures, each scene was sizzling hot, oh yea, this author never holds back in the romance department.

This is book 2 in the series, although it can be read as a stand alone, I suggest to read in order. There is a lot going on.

Guest author Evanne Lorraine and giveaway!

Please welcome Evanne Lorraine!

Hi there everyone,
My name is Evanne Lorraine and I write erotic romances. Like a lot of authors, I’d much rather learn about you or talk about my characters than talk about me. But here’s the scoop on me and writing:
I love or hate writing, which depends on how smoothly the current story is progressing, but even when I hate writing it’s like being angry with an amazing friend, who is behaving badly (my muse is difficult to put it nicely--it’s never me) and I never stay mad.

I plot rather than pants (writing by the seat of my pants). Despite my tidy plotting, the characters always hijack the story and I have to scramble to re-plot. revise, and rearrange so that the adventure makes sense.
My most ambitious goal is to write one book that matches the story in my head. With each new tale I try to move a little closer to this dream.
Camille’s Capture is my newest erotic adventure. The story is set in the distant future in another galaxy.
Here’s the blurb:
Camille, a plump, sweet-natured breeder, is caught in New Eden's endless war with Baldor. Her mates, Jaxon and Aegis, need cunning and courage to rescue her. They need a miracle to capture her heart.
Genetically engineered for a single function, to breed, Camille has followed the rules and accepted the Goddess’s will as explained by the elders all her life. After artificial insemination fails, she gathers her courage, traveling to distant New Eden to try in-person breeding. When her matches fail to appear, the meek little breeder rebels, determined to leave the Goddess-forsaken world behind her as fast as the next ship home can make the jump to subspace.
Aegis exists only to fulfill his vow to avenge the death of his parents by a Baldorean blood mage. Not even the forbidden desire for Jaxon interferes with his quest. But contact with a breeder threatens everything he holds sacred.
For four years, Jaxon dreamed of tri-bond with Aegis. Isolated by hostilities in the endless war with Baldor, he’s trapped in the close quarters of their fighter with Aegis and Cami, his most secret dream come true. But instead of bliss, he finds himself plunged into a battle with prejudice, doubts, and jealousy.
Cami travels halfway across the universe, survives brutal rejection, humiliation and a firefight. Stranded with two fierce warriors, not even a broken heart will make her quit until she has the sperm she needs.

Review Temple of the Heart by Tori Minard

Title: Temple of the Heart
Author: Tori Minard
Pages: 250
Format: eBook
Genre: Paranormal romance
Authors website

As a priestess of Desou, Laila knew the most sacred Rule in the Temple. No priestess should look upon the world outside or be seen by any man. Even in the face of catastrophic fire, the priestesses kept the Rule, and burned. All except for Laila.

Over one hundred years ago, Niko vowed allegiance to the Dark and became a vampire in order to defend his mother and sister. He never expected to destroy them himself. Now he lives in the shadows of Atlantis, the greatest civilization in the world, hating himself and reviled by others.

Pulling one lovely priestess from a burning temple can’t possibly atone for a century of drinking human blood.

Although his very touch is said to defile her, Niko vows to protect Laila, not only from the men who hunt her but also from the darkness he carries within himself. But Laila desires love and strength, not protection, and she’s willing to make her own vow to the Dark in order to get it. She defies her deepest fears and risks death to save Niko from an Atlantean execution so they can be together forever.

Niko and Laila are from two different worlds of Atlantis. Niko's a vampire, who is considered an unwanted outsider by Atlanteans. Laila's a priestess of the Desau temple, highly revered and not permitted to see or be seen by the outside world. They weren't meant to ever meet, but after Niko rescues her, they end up running from the Atlantean guard just to stay alive. Throughout the book we see how the two have to fight at every turn to get away from the guards and when you learn why you'll be happily surprised. While Laila is learning to live in regular society and Niko is learning to trust someone other than himself, secrets about their pasts and their futures are discovered.

There were some sad parts that I really thought the couple wasn't going to make it thanks to Niko's stubbornness! He realizes almost too late that he loves Laila and that in order to save her he has to put his trust in someone other than himself. Garek is the half Amaki that Niko is going to have to put his trust in. It was fun to read Laila trying to curve her very curious nature and willingness to break the rules. Afterall, her curiosity was the reason Niko saw her while she was in her hiding place in the attic after she snuck up there to see the line of people bringing offerings to the Desau temple. Even at a glance Niko was immediately taken with Laila and she with him. But only after Niko rescues Laila from the burning temple does he realizes he can't let her go of her that easily. Their journey to freedom isn't easy. Niko is constantly battling the Dark that is trying to get him to join with it and accept his full powers, but with Laila's support and finally trusting Garek, Niko accepts who is and learns from it. I really like Laila and Niko as a couple. It was so sweet to see Niko let his feelings show little by little for Laila and the fact that she was patient, but didn't take his crap while he was still denying his feelings for her was great. I thought a few times Laila was going to be a pushover, but I was very relieved that she stood her ground when she needed to.

I would recommend this book to anyone that loves to read about a sexy, stubborn vampire and a beautiful priestess that have to accept themselves for who they are before they can accept each other and find happiness.

Julie Kensworth opens her door to more than a blizzard and greets two wayward cowboys. She realizes right away she’s headed straight for the eye of the storm.
Brandon Blake and Quinn Stewart are a long way from home. They’re looking for a warm place to hang their hats while they try to wait out the snow and ice, which continues to gain momentum.

Julie is an author and she’s not just the average writer, she’s one of the most notorious writers in the world. When Quinn and Blake figure out Julie is an erotic romance author, well, needless to say, their minds churn with all sorts of ideas, most of them geared toward how they can heat up the cold winter nights ahead.(less)

I like the story and the characters, but there were times when I got lost in the novella. Don’t get me wrong this book is good, you’ll just have to take your time reading this one. I loved the idea that the heroine was an erotic book writer, I also loved the mystery that‘s has to do with the heroine. The heroes are very kind and helpful to Julie; then again they can be a bit nosy at time LOL. The sex scenes are hot, but it takes a while before you get to get to the sex (anal is included). So be warned. The anal scene are not to realistic, you don’t take someone who has never done anal before and expect them to be able to take on two guys the first time, then again this is fiction so it may not bother some of you.

Julie writes her dreams out in books and then one day she finds her dreams standing at her door during a buzzard. Now she just has to let herself go and live out her dreams, it’s just not that easy.

Tease
“She’s the Dr. Seuss of hot romance. He wrote about green eggs and Carla Carrington writes about prime beef.” Brandon grabbed his front bulge. “At least we know what kind of woman opened up her home to us.”

“Don’t get too excited. Not only did she put me in my place in that coal bin, but she also informed me that she wasn’t opening up anything more than her home as a means of hospitality.”

Brandon stuffed the books back where he found them, squeezing them in between other hardback and paperback titles. “At least we know she wouldn’t oppose the idea of two men, ya know?”

Fantastic Sci-fi Romance Erotica! Star Track Move Over!

Wow, I really enjoyed this read. It took me a little to get into in the beginning but after about 30 pages the story took off and what an action pack adventure. Humanity’s survival is at risk on earth because of a greedy and corrupt government, however, there are pirates running around in space living the best they can by jumping other ships and stealing their cargo.

Nick Venture, an ordinary guy who has been rescued by some Corporate official doctor who sets him on a mission to find a new planet called Eden in order to save humanity. Only thing is, Nick is not a computer/science guy who fly’s spaceships, but the Corporate Officials don’t care because his Christopher Columbus heritage singling him out to be the last survivor from that line is their only hope that the new world should be discovered by.

Nicks journey and adventure begins with three spaceships and a great humorous crew. However, things get interesting when the pirate Raguel jumps his ship to steal his supplies; she is automatically sexually drawn to Nick’s sexuality radiating all kinds of sensual thoughts throughout her whole body. To make a long story short, Nick bargains with Raguel and convinces her to become their guide and protector from the corrupt government and other pirates in order to get to the New world to save earths people.

The adventure is fantastic and the sexual erotica between Nick and Raguel is pretty steamy teasing you and driving you crazy until the end when it explodes to a climaxing erotica of HOT HOT SEX scene.

There was lots of fighting action between the other pirates and the government military. I loved all the characters different personalities, some were pretty humorous. I thought the story line was well written and thought that this would make a great series/Movie as in search for new planets. The writing was very visionary and I felt like I was right there within the story. Great Read!

Guest author Theresa Meyers and giveaway! From the Bewitching Book Tours

Please welcome Theresa Myers!!

March 15 Guest Blog at Bitten by Paranormal Romance
How I got Bitten (or why did I start writing vampires?)
As a Nocturne author one question I get quite frequently is “What got you started writing vampires?” Well, to be perfectly truthful I wasn’t a huge vampire fan to begin with. I had loved the movie Lost Boys as a teen. I read a few things here and there that had a vampire in it (like a Linda Lael Miller’s Forever series, a few J.R. Ward books and some of P.C. and Kristin Cast’s Marked series), but by in large I wasn’t a vampire fanatic.  But then one night (and I swear I’m not riffing off of Stephenie Meyer) it was a very vivid dream.
I saw a beautiful woman and man dancing in a ballroom walled with mirrors and lit by thousands of candles. Then later she was shown a coffin containing a skeleton with bones so old and smooth they looked almost polished. What really surprised me was the skeleton had fangs. The woman later was led to that same coffin and disappeared and the fanged-skeleton reappeared in her place. It was as though small invisible spiders began to knit a white shroud over the skeleton, filling it out until it took the woman’s form. And when they were done, she lay in the coffin still as stone, until the male vampire kissed her. All of that became my novella Salvation of the Damned and started the world where my new Sons of Midnight mini-series is based.
In this month’s book, The Truth About Vampires, we see the coming out of vampires to human society. Now I’ve had some critics ask, why would vampires even bother, they’ve done fine for all these years? I’d have to answer, well, wouldn’t you get tired of hiding everything you did, acting like some kind of second-class citizen that had to lurk in the shadows, even though you knew that you had far more experience and were far more powerful?
That’s the point at which the Cascade Vampire Clan that’s been surviving in the Seattle Underground since the late 1890s has reached. They see investigative reporter Kristin Reed’s interest as a chance to tell their side of the story before someone else does. (One of the basic tenets of crisis communications 101 in the public relations industry – tell your side first.) Clan Trejan, Dmitri Dionotte is assigned to not only guide Kristin’s research (making sure that she doesn’t stumble upon the less savory aspects of vampire culture – like the reivers who see humans as disposable juice pouches) but also to protect her.
In many ways revealing vampire society to Kristin teaches Dmitri how to appreciate it as well. You see, he never intended to become a vampire and really isn’t all that happy about his state.
Once I got into these two characters I started to find out all kinds of things about the vampire culture I was discovering as Kristin discovered it – their political set up, how they treat things medically, their weaknesses and strengths, their unique view of their place in the world and how their society functioned. And like every society, they had a history and those who run outside society’s rules.
So you might say the reason I write vampires is because I got caught up in their story. I’m currently writing book three in the Sons of Midnight and discovering that even vampires have prejudices against other supernaturals. Just how far will the series go? Well, that remains to be seen. I might write this world, but I’m still learning new things about it every day from the characters.

And now that I’ve told you how I got bit by the vampire bug, it’s your turn. How did you get into vampires?

Review The Truth About Vampires by Theresa Meyers

Title: The Truth About Vampires
Author: Theresa Meyers
Source: Requested Review
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Authors Website: www.theresameyers.com/
Format: PDF
Length: Novel

All her life, Seattle reporter Kristin Reed sought her breakout story. She never thought she'd find it in the crimson lair of a real-life creature of the night. Kristin never believed vampires existed—until with dark brooding eyes and a decadent chocolate scent, Dmitri Dionotte called out to her….
Dmitri and his clan's true nature was cloaked in secrecy until a warring vampire order threatened their existence. Kristin was just the woman he needed. She couldn't resist their story…or Dmitri. Her blood pulsed hot and furious when he touched her, and with his kiss, all logic fled. But each night she spent with her vampire lover brought her closer to death and destruction. A death not even an immortal could triumph over.

RATING:

SEXUAL:
Dee's Thoughts:

Dmitri Dionotte owns a bar in Seattle called Sangria, but that is the only thing normal about Dmitri. He is a vampire and not just any vampire but the trejan of the Cascade Clan. As trejan the “secrecy, security, and safety” of the clan is his sole responsibility. A responsibility he has carried out for many years. Now bodies are showing up at an alarming rate. All signs are pointing to vampires. The bodies are being left drained of blood and missing vital organs. Dmitri is afraid his kind, vampires, will be exposed by such blatant murders.

Kristin Reed is a reporter for the Pacific News Tribune. Just like her father, ink runs through her veins. She is driven to succeed in receiving a Pulitzer, but she is also driven to make her father proud. Working at Pacific News Tribune has not been easy. A male dominated field, a male chauvinist boss, Rex Hollander, and now the papers failing popularity has put Kristin in danger of losing her job. Kristin’s knows if she doesn’t land a huge story a pink slip is in her future.

Meyers does an exceptional job building the vampire world we are entering. The characters and the roles that they play are detailed perfectly. I loved the mystery, drama, and the chemistry. Meyers delivers a really hot shower scene and I had to read it twice. *blushes* Most importantly I was left wanting more of this world. There are some great secondary characters in the novel who deserve there claim to fame. Hint!
Well in case you haven’t figured it out….LOVED IT!

I won the Give Away from http://paranormalkiss.webs.com/

Wow Wow Wow! Awesome book, it was totally HOT! I loved this paranormal romance, it had a lot of great erotica scenes in it and was action packed with Skriker (human/demon) and Rose (human/angel) hunting down all evil especially the ones who had killed some of their families. I totally loved the battle between Lilith's daughter and Skriker and he did her justice by blowing a firery hole in her head. I was like "take that you bitch". I totally got into it.

I loved the originality of the characters in their true form where vampires are blood suckers and pure evil along with ghouls and demons. This book shows the darker and gory side of the blood suckers - they werent all hansom and sexy, they were grotest with wicked looking teeth and slava hanging out of their mouths or with their fangs sunk into a rat or birds head.

Skriker was so hot, I mean a guy who is well endowed that can still have a bulge in his pants making him look hard even when he is not hard - the guy is definitly packing a good pieace of meat - LOL A very fast read and I couldnt turn the pages fast enough. Great Read!

My Review -

Hunter's Moon is a wonderful paranormal romance story of two souls that have suffered much heartache and loss in their lives who discover each other. I really enjoyed this book and how Felicity was able to bring the characters to life on the pages and allow the readers to feel their torment, conflicts, fears and passions. The imagery and the descriptive word play are so well developed that you feel you have been transported into the wilderness that the story is set in and feel the leaves under your feet and the cold air on your breath.

Nicolae is a werewolf and Tatyana is a vampire that he saves from hunters who threaten his peaceful existence on the mountain. Nicolae's long seated hatred for vampires and the cruelty that they imposed onto him and his kind plague him as he tends to her. However, for some reason he is drawn to her and tries to suppress the urges that are building up inside him. Tatyana on the other hand, has never experienced first hand any ill will to werewolves as her bloodline does not keep them as slaves. At times Tatyana is hurt by Nicolae's rough attitude and words to her as she feels that she has done no wrong to him. Later on as the two slowly get to know each other better Tatyana understands why Nicolae despises vampires so much.

The sexual tension between the two of them builds to the point that they wonder whether the other feels the same way. Of course they fear to ask each other how they feel to avoid being rejected thus, the tension builds between them until they cannot resist each other any longer.

It got to the point that I felt like screaming at them to give into what they felt in their hearts. Now I like my paranormal romance books to have lots of hot, sexy scenes and this book had great sexual build up, but only one sex scene. I wished that it had more then just the one. It took so long for them to finally give in to their desires that we were only given the one scene. Now some may prefer that and are ok with it, but I like my characters who crave each other and finally give in to have a little bit more action.

I really would love to see a part 2 to this story because I want to know where the relationship is going to take them and what adventures lie ahead for them. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to all the romantics out there.

Totally Awesome! Hot Erotica!

I absolutely loved this story. I love dragons and wished I had one of my own, especailly one that shapeshifted into a hansom and sexy man - LOL For real though, the story line was great and the erotic scene was great. This awesome story was only 103 pages and was a fast page turner, I wanted more in the end. The HEA between Andrik (Prince / Dragon King) and Kestrell (Spellcaster / Andrik's Mate) was so sweet and passionate. I loved the concept behind the Dragonkin and the Drakin and how from them both a new generation of Dragons will be created.

A brilliant piece of work by Kristina Douglas (aka Anne Stuart) that takes the Judeo-Christian foundations and blows them to smithereens! All in the guise of a paranormal romance novel. SWEET!

I was hesitant to read RAZIEL because of the diatribe reviews I had been reading on one of the reviewing websites. But every time I went to the library, this book called out to me. Really, it did. I caved. RAZIEL is the type of novel that makes you think. If it doesn’t; then you have missed a very integral part of Ms. Douglas’ work.

Allie is dead; her human, physical body gone. She now exists in Sheol. She should have gone to meet her Maker. Allie is full of sass, doesn’t want to be dead, and just wants to go home. Her wisecracks and references to modern day entertainment are delightful. Raziel escorted Allie to her Final Destination, but at the last moment, pulled her back from the fires of hell. Now, she is his responsibility. Raziel doesn’t understand his attraction to her; he sworn off all women ages ago when his last mate died. He does not want to go through that pain again. He will not give Uriel that satisfaction.

Now, Uriel -- he’s a tightass. God left him in charge when He gave mankind freewill. Uriel is all black and white; no gray areas: He is judge, jury and executioner. When Angels “slip” and start to care for the humans they are helping, they become Fallen. Uriel’s pissed at the Fallen; he sends the Nephilim.

These are just a few of the reasons why I want more of THE FALLEN. There are a variety of concepts in play here.

Flesh and blood. Allie is dead, but she still reacts in an all too human way. The Fallen are blood-eaters and the Nephilim are flesh-eaters. A human (flesh) is The Source of blood for The Fallen.

Good and Evil = Uriel vs. Lucifer. Or is it the other way around? The Fallen love the humans they care for and are judged by Uriel and cursed. Azazel, the Alpha of the The Fallen, would rather dispose of Allie than have to deal with her.

Oh, and let’s not forget the romance and HFN.
