My Review:

This is part one of what is to become a much longer story according to the author.

One minute Remy is on the MARTA in Atlanta, then the next she's somewhere else. What the ....? She finds herself in the world of her Sci-fi book with her favorite character.

I was immediately drawn into the story. Remy and Iaran are both written very real and have depth. While I wouldn't call it erotica, it is a sensual feast.

The story read so very quickly that I was surprised and disappointed when it ended. I look forward to reading the sequels even though space sci-fi isn't normally my thing. Let's hope the rest of the story is a little hotter.

Murder has brought Talon, Master of Guardians, as well as Zia, his witch and Master of Witches, to Chicago. The manner of death appears to be a suicide, but Talon is far from ready to close the case. To avenge the Guardian linked to his past, he agrees to take on the assignment, and find her killer.

As they dive deeper into the investigation, they find themselves entering a world where BDSM is the norm. A lifestyle that Zia is uncomfortable with and, rattled by this new development, she is more than ready to return to the Otherworld. But their investigation quickly takes an unexpected twist when they discover that they’re not only hunting a killer but also someone who is controlling supernaturals in Chicago.

Their mission not only brings danger, but also forces Talon to deal with decades old guilt that corrodes his soul. Every event that unfolds only deepens his fight and pushes him to face an ultimate choice—what is more important—his duty to the Otherworld or the witch he holds closest to his heart?

A Warriors Witch is a spin off from Stacey Kennedy’s The Magical Sword series. I really enjoyed both Talon and Zia during that series, so it was fantastic seen them get a story of their own. These two are already in love they just need some push to make it an official mating and Stacey gives them just that. These two I believe have the best adventure story Stacey has ever come up with, there plenty of danger in here. This is a light BDSM read that I very much enjoyed. Talon and Zia both are easy to fall for at least for me.

Would I recommended it- Yes, I recommend this to anyone who loved magic and danger. My suggestion is if you haven't read The Magical Sword series I suggest that you read it first, but that's my opinion. This will be a series so be on the look out for the next installment this fall.

Changeling Moon by Dani Harper promo and giveaway CLOSED

Blurb:

He roams the moonlit wilderness,

his every sense and instinct on high alert.

Changeling wolf Connor Macleod and his Pack

have never feared anything —

until the night human Zoey Tyler barely escapes

a rogue werewolf’s vicious attack.

As the full moon approaches, Zoey has no idea of

the changes that are coming,

and only Connor can show her what she is,

and help her master the wildness inside.

With her initiation into the Pack just days away and a

terrifying predator on the loose, the tentative bonds

of trust and tenderness are their only weapons against

a force red in tooth, claw … and ultimate evil.

Prologue
The wolf wanted out.

Heavy clouds obscured the moon and washed the night with icy rain. The cold, damp air brought a myriad of intriguing scents.
The man slunk along the sidewalk, his limbs tingling as his body instinctively drew energy from the earth.

The wolf wanted out
now
.

Full of hunger and rage, the wolf writhed under the man’s skin in anticipation as he turned into a familiar alley behind the town
hall. It was dark here, overgrown with trees and bushes, flanked with leaning fences, sagging garages, and numberless garbage
cans. There was a spot where no light reached, a perfect spot to—

The wolf snarled its impatience and he cursed back. He was trying to hurry, dammit, but his body refused to cooperate. To
human eyes, he was just an old drunk, sixty going on eighty. In reality, he was far older than even those like him could guess.
When his wolf wanted out, he could no longer keep it leashed for long. And truth be told, he didn’t want to. Because once he
took on his lupine form, all his aches and pains would disappear and he’d be strong and powerful again

Changeling Moon is a good start to a new paranormal romance series. The author has a very tight story along with some great characters. The changeling is very well explained and has some different touches then most shape shifting stories, I very much enjoyed them. You get a suspenseful storyline with plenty of danger.

Now my reasoning for rating it a 3 was These two fall in love quick without to many compilations some may find this to true to believe, I know I did at times. Conner is very loving and at times he was too good to be true at least for me. The sex is nowhere near as hot as most paranormal romance books. Conner and Joey have plenty of sexual tension, but when it comes to the few sex scenes, well they are very abrupt and I didn’t feel the heat.

Overall I fell this is going to be a good start for a series. I do find at times I don’t really care for the first book in a series and as I read on they get better, I am hoping this will be the case. I will be heading on to the next book soon.

This is my first book by Karen Hawkins and it sure wont be my last because I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved the surprises in the story and the connection between the hero and heroine. I really liked both William and Marcail. They have been lovers before, she spilt from him years ago, and she now is a mistress to another man even though she still loves William. I am not going into this complications here you‘ll have to read to find out. My biggest reason for liking this book so much was because of William I loved how that he could see past mistakes to be able to forgive. Some writers would have dragged this story out and kept great tension between them, but not this author, she had them working together and finding out more of each other. I am use to reading the heat from paranormal romance and I sometimes find the heat in historical very mild, but this was pretty heated. Yep, William and Marcail waste no time getting it on in a riding down the road in a carriage *fanning self*. I liked this one so much I have to get the first book and on to book three.

Amidst the post-war chaos that rains down around them, a controlling man and a desperate woman must choose between life and love.

Book One of the Devils on Horseback series.

Nate Marchand grew up as the only son of the town drunk. As a Confederate soldier, he found that order in the chaos was the only thing that kept him sane. Numbers, information, keeping everything in its proper place became second nature. The chaos of the war and its aftermath sent him into a rigid state that he couldn’t seem to overcome.

He and his friends, nicknamed Devils on Horseback, leave behind the aftermath of war to start fresh in the west. Their new business venture flounders and desperation drives them to take whatever work they can.

The Devils are hired to remove the Taggert family from land claimed by Samuel O’Shea, the largest landowner in Grayton, Texas. When he meets Elisa Taggert, his entire world shifts beneath him. Attracted, bewildered, and off-kilter, Nate ignores his conscience in favor of his wallet.

The simple task of removing a woman, a boy, and an old man, along with a small herd of cattle, resembles a Medieval siege. Nate wrestles with what he knows is right with what he must do. Will his love for Elisa overcome his need for survival?

Warning, this title contains the following: explicit sex, graphic language, violence.

This, the first of the Devils on Horseback series, reads like episode of Gunsmoke, The High Chaparral or a Lifetime Made for Television movie.

Set in Texas just after the Civil War, this has everything the quintessential western needs - the bad guys, the good guys, a tough as nails damsel in distress, a wrong that needs righted, a romance and a touching and/or shocking revelation.

While I do enjoy the occasional western and reruns of these old westerns, westerns are not my favorite thing to read. However, if I was to start reading them occasionally, I'd definitely read the rest in this series.

Review: 5 – An Alpha Howl
Sexual: 3 - Hot

I really enjoyed this story enough to immediately buy the next one. I loved Nate and all of his friends. I enjoyed watching him try to deal with Elisa as he slowly fell in love with her. Elisa was a stitch. She was such a strong person, and had so much to deal with. But my favorite parts were when she got the upper hand with Nate or his friends. I loved when she got him to strip by the water! It was a bit violent, but nothing too over the top. I loved Williamson's writing and thought she did a great job with the dialogue, the plot, and the emotions of the romantic relationship.

Cynthia
Review: 3 – One Good Howl
Sexual: 2 – Steamy

I like historical and I like westerns, so this book was right up my alley. Tensions ran high right after the War Between the States. So it isn’t hard to imagine that after the war ended, a posse of men tries to stay a few steps ahead of their greatest enemy during the war. I enjoyed the premise of the novel: The Posse need to find work after the war and head West, oldest sibling of a family does what she can to save the ranch from greedy Land Grabber. An unexpected twist to the story was a delight.

There were just a couple of things that irked me. Some of the dialogue felt forced and a few characters too gruff. Yes, Elisa may have known the territory, but I have a hard time believing she could sneak-up on well trained men such as these. The bad guys killed all the cattle – without anyone hearing them?!? They must have had one helluva stash of ammo. And, this is not an erotic read, Steamy at best. BUT, I am willing to give Ms. Williamson the benefit of the doubt. Since this is the first book in her Devils on Horseback series, I’m hoping they improve.

Review: 2 – One Small Howl
Sexual: 1 – Flirty

For a free read this was ok. I did like the mystery behind Elisa and her father. I didn’t like Elise at all to over baring and loud for me. I was expecting this to be erotic, but to tell you the truth I have read just regular historical romances hotter than this one. Nate didn’t too much cut it for me either. He could have found out how to help Elise way before he did.  Overall I found this book hard to believe by the way the heroine acted for this time period.

My Review:

This is the first in the new Connor Clan series. It drew and kept my attention almost from the first page. Demons, lizard/snake men, a few vampires, an Archangel, a plot to destroy mankind, sword & dirk fighting, sexy highlanders, a damsel so not in distress, a smoldering attraction and a little humor - what more do you need for a good paranormal romance read?

Bree, historian and Indiana Jones wannbe, finds more than she bargained for when she unearths a crypt while treasure hunting and opens it with a flat disc. All she wanted was the treasure, instead she got him, Faelan - a seriously hot man in a kilt.

The last thing Faelan knew, he'd been about to fight four demons - the old ones - and then he was looking into her eyes. Was she a demon's minion, a halfling or a demon in disguise? She said 150 years had passed. All he knew were dead. How to get back to his clan in Scotland? He didn't know but he did know that just looking at her made him hard with a longing that was almost to much to control.

This was a nice length which allowed for in depth story and character development. The action is fast-paced with several twists and surprises. Amidst the fighting, a steamy romance is going on with vanilla sex scenes. And while not a comedy by any stretch of the imagination, it can be very humorous much of the time.

As the first in a new series, it has set up several secondary characters for exploration as lead characters in future books but without the aggravating cliffhangers some authors use. Clenney successfully whispers at potential subjects to pursue in the future without interrupting the flow of the story.

While the sex could have been hotter, my one small disappointment with the book is that I figured out two of the twists/problems - one of the twists I figured out pretty early and one of the problems I figured out late in the book but before it was revealed. But that's just me, it happens alot with me and shouldn't reflect badly on the book. There were several twists and issues I didn't figure out which is good.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the sequel, Embrace the Highland Warrior, due out in Nov. 2011, a preview of which is included at the end of the story.

Interview with romance author Tori Minard

Please welcome romance author Tori Mainard

Hello Tori, thank you for doing this interview. Would you tell us a little about yourself?
Hi, Laurie.  Thanks so much for having me.  I started writing as a kid but only started taking it seriously a few years ago.  I'm fascinated with magic, mythology and history, so I like to write about those subjects.  Basically I like weird stuff.  I used to be a bellydancer, but I don't dance much anymore.  Too busy writing.  Also, I'm married and have a school-age son.

Out of all the books you wrote, do you have a few that holds a special place in your heart?
Well, Temple of the Heart does because it was so much fun to write.  Also, the book I'm working on now, which doesn't have a title yet, is pretty special to me.  It's about a man (Amaki, actually) who was buried alive beneath a house, and now thinks he's the spirit of the house.   He doesn't remember being alive.

What are some of your favorite author’s and some of your favorite books you’ve read?

Wow, that would be a long list, lol.  I used to read a lot of Mary Stewart, and especially loved The Crystal Cave as a kid.  Also, M.M.Kaye's Trade Wind really influenced me, as well as Marion Zimmer Bradley's Darkover series.  And I love Charles De Lint.  He's a huge influence.  My favorite historical author is Laura Kinsale.  I loved Flowers from the Storm.  I admire Angela Knight and Morgan Hawke for their no-holds-barred sex scenes (sex scenes are really important to me).  And for paranormal, I'm into Sherrilyn Kenyon, J.R.Ward, Kresley Cole, and I just discovered Kerrilyn Sparks.  She's so funny.

What sub-genre that you write?
Currently I write mostly paranormal/fantasy romance.  I also have a series of short stories that are basically humorous urban fantasy.  They're about a witch named Skye Donovan, who works the graveyard shift at the post office in Portland, Oregon.  I worked there for almost 6 years, so I thought it would be fun to write about it.  Skye has all kinds of kooky adventures at the P.O. and elsewhere.  I have two stories out in that series, Love Potion Number Ninety and Stainless Steel Vampire.

Would you tell those who had never heard of your book Temple of the Heart a little about your book?
Temple of the Heart is set in ancient Atlantis.  It's about a sheltered priestess named Laila, who has never seen a man.  When her temple catches fire, she's rescued by a vampire named Niko.  But the authorities, instead of being relieved she's still alive, begin chasing her and Niko who then have to escape the city and have adventures along the way.  Naturally they fall in love, too.

I really liked Garek and Sosima. I would love to read their stories. Any chance we can look forward to either of them getting their own book?
I definitely have plans for Garek.   He's going to have his own book eventually, which is going to feature reincarnation.  Sosima is probably going to appear in a vampire series I have planned.  She'll be a truly ancient vampire by then, because the new series is set in the modern world.

Do you have any plains to write a series about the Amakis? I was really fascinated with their strengths and powers.
Actually, I already have a series about them.  Temple is sort of a cross-over book.  My Amaki book which is currently available is called The Heart Moon.  I have two more in progress, one called Dragon Moon, and the other untitled (the house book I talked about).

How did you come up with the idea for a romance between a priestess and vampire?
Years ago, I heard a story about a Chinese lady who elected to remain in a burning palace because it was simply unthinkable for her to leave the palace grounds.  I thought that was fascinating, and I wanted to write about it, but I made her a priestess instead.  Of course, my heroine can't stay and burn.  She has to attempt an escape.  But I wanted her to get help from a man because men are forbidden to her, and I thought it would be even better if the man were someone scary and disreputable.  And who is scarier and more disreputable than a vampire?

Have you always wanted to write about vampires and other supernatural creatures?
Pretty much, yeah.  I used to watch the sky on Halloween night hoping I'd see a witch fly by.  Lol.  That was when I was really little.  But I've always been fascinated by the mysterious and supernatural.  I have a huge library of occult books.

Would you tell us a little of what you’re working on next?
I'm working on the house novel, and Dragon Moon, a sequel to The Heart Moon.  After that, I'm probably going to be developing a vampire series based on the vampire world I created for Temple.  And I'll also be doing a Skye Donovan story here and there for a change of pace.

Fun questions
What your favorite color?  Hmm.  Probably pink.  Or maybe red.  Then again, I love yellow.  And blue.  I love all colors, lol.
Do you have any pets? Yes.  One tiny Yorkie mix who thinks he's the emperor of the world.
What your favorite movie and TV show? Oh, boy.  I really don't watch much tv these days and hardly ever get to see movies.  But I do love the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and Firefly/Serenity.  I was an X-Files fan back in the day, too.  I'm waiting for Jane Eyre to arrive in the boondocks where I live.
Do you have a favorite food or place to eat?  I love Indian food.  And Chinese.

Eve knows how to write hunky dominating aliens, her latest release Accidentally Abduction is quite entertaining. I enjoyed the storyline and the fun and danger Eve adds to the story.

Megan is having a bad day and her luck with men is even worse. Her now Xboyfriend just dumped her out to sea for dead. Then all the sudden she finds herself face to face with a hunky purple Han Solo looking alien. Oh wait, can her do be looking up? Nope, it not because the alien doesn’t want a big mouth human to deal with oh no, he wants to sell her, but she keeps talking about sex and its intriguing his other parts, so you know where this will lead LOL. This is not a love fest relationship, oh no, these two loves to bicker and then bickers some more... Why do they bicker so much you ask? Well, Megan has a big mouth she just can’t keep shut and Tren doesn’t too much like it. It just makes reading so much more for fun especially for these two.

I have to say, this book starts out and ends really good, but the bickering from Megan did get to me in the middle before it calmed. Over all still a good read. I loved the imagination Eve adds and the way she brought about the coupling.

Jarico is Tren bother you get a peek at his book next at the end.

Quotes
Here’s Megan with her mouth action-
“Not for you I won’t be. I like my men with some balls. I think you left yours at home. Or did someone already neuter them for you?” Megan’s smile goaded him as much as her provoking words.

Megan getting into trouble yet again, oh wait, this maybe good trouble;-)
Once again, he tore his mouth from hers and perused her with heavy lidded eyes. “I told you to put it on. Obey me, Earthling.”
She met his luminous gaze, her tummy swirling at the passion she could see in its depths. Her lips curled into a taunting smile. “Make me.”
Challenge thrown, he wasted no time and she squealed as he sprang into action….

Length: Novella

Rescued from sexual slavery by a dragon king, Cassandra owes the royal a debt she can never repay. Dormant dragon gifts earn her a place of trust as companion, but when she loses her headstrong charge, she faces disgrace and death.

Handpicked to recapture the kidnapped princess, Xyn and Belz are ordered to work with Cassandra. That she’s forced to accept a role as their slave is bad enough, but the males bluntly tell her that she can’t come with them unless she can handle all of their sexual needs. Desperate to atone for losing the princess, and innately trusting the males, she reluctantly agrees.

The dominant dragons are hard males to satisfy. Cassandra exhausts herself bringing them pleasure. More troubling than her fatigue from so many orgasms is that their erotic demands prove addictive, binding her heart and soul to the dangerous males more surely than she was ever bound by a slave collar.

Evans Lorraine knows how to write a steamy sci-fi romance. Slave Market has a great story with some steamy scenes. I liked the connection between the characters and the sex what’s there is erotic and hot. This is a BDSM ménage with no anal, the BDSM is on the light side, so it was easy for me to read.

This is a nice story about a slave dragon lady saving her friend the princess and finding her mates. You’ll find more story then sex in this novella. I recommend this to anyone who likes a little fun paranormal romance and sci-fi adventure.

Guest paranormal romance author Lisa Beth Darling with giveaway

Please welcome author Lisa Beth Darling!

I get three common questions: being a Mom and Wife, the first is always: "What's for dinner?"

A. What are you cooking? My 'children' are 19 and 25 and know how to use the stove.

Being a writer with heavy erotic tendencies: "I love your stories but why is there always this sex in them?"

A. I love sex. I don't know about you but I really like sex, probably the biggest reason my husband and I just celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Yep, as far as I'm concerned sex is A-1 Stuff…and, ya know, it's free, so ya can't beat that.

B. A connected question is usually: "Have you done all of the stuff that you write about or do you just have a great imagination?" To wit I say, see answer above and draw your own conclusions.

Lately, the most asked question has got to be: "Why Ares? Of all of the Mythological Figures in the world, why the notorious God of War as the most-unlikely hero for The Heart of War?"

A. I was never the girl who went for the jock or the quiet kid, I was always with the Outcasts. You know, the boys with long hair, leather wallets with chains, on the smoking patio with what might or might not be a cigarette. Those are my boys, always have been, always will be.

I love a bad boy and Ares, in my eyes, has got to be the ultimate bad boy I'd like to say he's the Ultimate Bad Boy with a Heart, but you have to look deeply for it and it only shows itself to certain people. So, yes, he does have one but you have to find your way to it and that's not easy but, man, was it fun! The fact that he's drop-dead gorgeous didn't hurt the writing process any, he's a Greek God, so taking from different works of art, sculptures, paintings, and well, 'other visual media', I drew 7 foot, muscle bound, leather clad, biker-booted, can't-get-enough-of-just-looking-at-him God ”with an attitude.

I fell in love with him and, judging by the most excellent review I received from this site, I think others are falling for him too. I hope those out there reading will take the plunge. Due in large part to the stellar review from this site, the Heart of War is on sale Kindle and Nook for $2.99 (regular price $3.75) and in .pdf format on My site for $1.99

"Tell me." Ares said in a firm tone.

Without looking him, her gray eyes fixed on the firing burning in hearth instead, Alena spoke. "I just wanted it to be over. I was tired of being afraid all the time. What does any of this matter to you?"

Ares turned her face back to him to gaze into her watery eyes. Although he couldn't yet say why, it did matter very much to him. "The taking of one's own life is never the answer." For a moment, Ares sat there in her arms, taking in that sweet scent and feeling her warmth while wishing he'd killed Jaakim just a little slower.

"Why not?"

"Because if you're dead you can't experience this." Ares kissed her.

As their lips touched her fingers that had been dancing so delicately across his shoulders and upper back froze in place, flexed, and grabbed at the flesh below. Lowering the hand at her neck to her waist, he pulled her body down onto the bed. Alena let out a very sweet sigh as she slid right into the crook of his arm with her lips pressed to his. Her hands finally allowed to run wild in the space between his neck and his chest. Even though she was afraid that once this started it might never stop, she couldn't get enough of touching him. The heart in her chest raced like the wind, her lungs couldn't get enough of the air around them, which had suddenly become hot, steamy. The scent of him, so deep and rich, every breath was intoxicating making her head light and dizzy, her body weak, and her soul cry out for more.

When his lips pulled away from hers only to land on her neck and suckle, the palm of his large hand covered her heaving breast over the thin material of the shirt. Alena pushed the shirt open under his hand so that there was nothing between them. His touch warm and although it was manly, it was also soft, especially for one who called himself a warrior and was always splitting so much wood. The feel of it over her hard nipple made her nails scrape along his back. Ares couldn't wait to get his mouth around it, she cupped her hands to his face and brought him closer and then his tingling lips lefts her once more and made their way to their first destination of the evening. His mouth gently closed down over her ample breast her back arched up off the hard stone to greet him. She tasted like heaven, sweeter than Nectar and more palatable than Ambrosia, he began to wonder what that bald space between her legs would taste like dancing on his tongue. However, there was no rush. They had the entire night. Apollo wouldn't return until morning and by then it would be too late. Reaching down, past that patiently waiting place between those too slender hips, he grasped the hem of the shirt and slowly pulled it upward, letting those thick fingers linger over that same waiting spot, finding it moist already, before he brought the shirt up and over her head laying her bare beside him.

She was a rare prize, Ares understood all of the reasons Cernunnos wanted her. She was beautiful. She was brazen. She was brave. She was passionate. Just what the Olympians wanted with her or what Eros had already done with her he didn't know but he intended to find out. Not before he took all that she was offering to him-her body along with her heart. Not before she said that she was his.

The world around her began to spin and Alena could no longer tell up from down. It was getting hard to breath and even more difficult to tell where she ended and he began. Men had touched her before but none like this, none that made her want to explore, to surrender, to lose control. The space between her legs became misty, then steamy, then it sweltered as it swelled and prickled with life. "What are you doing to me?"

Ares didn't know what he felt, why she filled his head with helium making it so light he felt it would float off his shoulders, and he would be glad for it. He didn't know why what had turned in his favor as a simple barter between friends became so electric and heated. Then again, he hadn't destroyed that camp because someone defiled one of his whores long before he came along. Ares did it because he was so angry that Jaakim would dare to touch one like Alena that he couldn't see straight long before Sha'Quanda finished the story.

"If we do this, you will protect me from them? From your Family?"

"Are we still bartering?"

All ration and reason fleeing swiftly, Alena grasped for the last bits of both. In the end, he was Ares and Ares had a reputation that didn't bode well for him. "If we do this, Cernunnos will know. He will send them after me."

A barter it was. Fine. Ares always did like to get his payment upfront. "Let him know. Let him come. I am not afraid."

Staring into those deep smoldering eyes it was clear to see that no, he wasn't. Why should he be? He was strong. He was powerful. He had the command of fire. He was a God, which put Ares on even footing with Cernunnos. "I thought you didn't like virgins. Too much crying."

Ares cradled his head between her breasts so he could listen to her heartbeat. It was strong and fast. He reveled in the feel of her hands running through his hand and down his back. No woman made him feel this way. He didn't just want to penetrate her, he wanted to take his time, and savor every inch of her. "I lied."

Why didn't that surprise her? After all he was Ares, what else should she have expected? "Kiss me again." Alena couldn't help herself. Ares wasn't the best custodian she could think of to hold and protect her heart but she couldn't fight what she was feeling any longer. All she could do was surrender to him and the desire swelling within her.

"With pleasure." Ares whispered, his full lips barely touching hers. When they pressed to hers Alena's head lit up with electricity and the whole world vanished. When those hot full lips pulled away, and his teeth sank into her neck just below her ear, Alena was hopelessly and helplessly lost in the God of War.

The little Fey surrendered just as pretty as you please. Tonight, and every night hereafter, she was his. Her hands were running through his hair, Ares grabbed them as they came together and pinned them up above her head with one hand. Propping himself up on his elbow, he gazed down at the prize he'd won and found it pleasing. The hungry beast between his legs stirred as it realized it was not going to be denied the pleasure it sought

Ares ran the flat of his free hand down Alena's body from breast to hips and back as his tongue came out to wet his lip and she began to quiver. Alena didn't know anyone's touch could feel this good, so much better than her own. There was still fear. Apollo said many things about Ares and if they were true, she could leave this room only to be headed for a pyre of her own.

When his hand reached the place between her legs, the wonder and desire in her eyes flashed fear, unmistakable fear. Letting his fingers linger just a little, allowing them to soak in the musky, silky, wetness that clung to her skin, the fear reflected in her eyes was defeated by curious desire. That sweet scent of honeysuckle mixed with the heady scent between her legs filling Ares' head with passion. He couldn't wait any longer to take a taste. Ares was long and strong enough to keep Alena's hands pinned over her head very securely while he bent between into those wet waiting folds. Just to make sure Alena was aware who was in control here, he kept her that way, pinned securely to the bed between the pressure at her wrists and his leg wrapped around hers. Slowly bending his head forward to allow the lustful scent to fill him, his tongue lapped out and he got his first taste of those wet juices. The flat of Alena's stomach quivered and she let out a heavy rush of air, it sounded like 'oh God'.

Up until that moment, Alena hadn't known anything in the world could feel that good. It had to be sinful. Illegal at least. Between the slickness of his tongue and the softness of his beard, she didn't know which brought a greater sensation of pleasure. She didn't even think about straining against his hands holding her down, seemed the strength in her body had fled to parts unknown. She lay there filled with lead and helium, very strange mixture indeed.

God or not, Ares was a red-blooded male and he loved the taste of a woman. Other than the heat of battle, not much got him quite as excited as having a woman below him ”or on the side of him or over him or anywhere really. Moving over her and then between her splayed legs, he let go of her hands. Alena left them in place, which pleased him. Ares got his first look at that pretty flower between her legs, so delicate, and full, as it waited to be plucked from the vine.

Another flick of his tongue and another harsh rush of air met his ears. The soft scent of honeysuckle was no longer faint but thick, as though he were standing in an entire field of it on a hot summer day. The taste, oh the taste of her, it was so delicate but empowering s it rushed through him in a river of sweetness. Ares once heard a song, some man crooning about Tupelo Honey, he sang of how his woman was just as sweet, in fact, she was an angel of the first degree. Now he knew what the man had been singing about with such reverence and feeling.

When the tip of his tongue pushed apart those inner lips and found its way inside she quivered harshly, it went right through her from the top of her head to the toes that curled at her feet. It ran through him as well made him feel alive and brought the strangest feeling of being connected to someone other than himself. The hands that had surrendered above her head searched out the hides and began to grasp at them greedily. Wanting to get a better look at the softest part of his new prize, Ares pushed the lips apart with his fingertips and found them devoid of the marks of snake. It bit her on the inside, where it was even softer and warmer than it was here. Alena cooed and sighed as she bit down on her bottom lip, her eyes closed, her slightly misshapen hips, searching out his fingers as they arched and rocked toward them, calling them inside. Ares didn't want to disappoint her. She stopped breathing altogether as he slid his index finger into her with much slow purpose. That didn't stop her hands from reaching down and grabbing the sides of his head where they ran through his hair. Ares pushed his nimble fingers a little further into her.

Two hundred and forty-five years was a long time to deny the body such basic pleasures. Alena wasn't going to be denied any longer. With the heat coming off him, Alena nearly felt as though she were burning. As the old song went, it was a lovely way to burn. She felt like a helium filled balloon carried away by a warm current, rising higher and higher into the air up through the layers of the atmosphere, catapulted towards the stars on a journey that might never end. The fingers in his hair turned into talons hungrily grabbing at him wanting more. Demanding it.

She wasn't ready and Ares wasn't sure he was either. That crank of his was growing to full between his legs and he couldn't control it. As hard as he fought to make it smaller, it wouldn't yield. The last thing he wanted was to hurt her, not when she was coming to him so sweetly, so willingly. The more of her that rained down on his tongue and the deeper his fingers went the harder and longer he became. The more he wanted he wanted to sink every single inch of it into her.

Only wanting one thing and being able to focus on nothing else, her fingers entwined in his hair, and gave a hard yank upward. She pulled him with her hands and nudged him up with her knees. He didn't stop doing what he was doing between her legs. "Please?" She moaned. "Please?"

It was so hard to hold back but Ares wanted this first. She was close to it; all he had to do was… Two fingers deep inside, he grabbed the hands in his hair with the other hand and held them down on her breasts. "Give it to me." He demanded. "Now. Give it to me and I'll give you what you want." The swelling walls around him grew even wetter as he thought he was only scratching the surface of how much the little Fey wanted to be dominated. If that was the case then she'd come to the right God and the right place.

Other than to say she was burning in paradise, Alena didn't know what she was feeling. All she did know was that a heated tingle started between her legs and spread quickly outward to her thighs, her hips, her abdomen and then throughout her. Instinct arched her high off the stone bed and some unseen part of her just kept going upward. It ascended, not to the ceiling, but out of the cave and rocketed straight up through the atmosphere. Then time simply stopped for one long glorious moment as she hovered high in the sky. The moment was perfect she wanted to capture it and live in it forever.

Then it burst. Exploded in a great fiery ball.

A quiver, nearly violent in its strength bolted through her and liquid rushed out of her in a long steady stream as her hips hovered in the air and Ares' tongue lapped heatedly between her legs. He pushed his face and his fingers further into her and pushed over the edge of sanity to a place she hoped never to return. It seemed eternity before it was over and her hips lay on the stone weak and unable to move.

Wiping the juice off his beard Ares rose between her legs. "Now." Putting one hand on each knee, he pushed her legs up and forward as he settled between them still reminding him to be somewhere near careful. This was her first time.

The trailer is available here though I would beg your indulgence here, this novel was originally going to be released in 5 parts and the trailer reflects that because I lost my copy of Windows Movie Maker and I can't fix it. Bummer. Still, it will give you a very good idea of the novel if you just ignore the intermittent book covers.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eH6KtA5tIw0&feature=player_embedded

Kerrelyn Sparks never falls to make me laugh, I love this series. Eat Pray Love is the same as all of her books fun and sexy. I was very pleased how Carlos and Caitlyn found each other and the adventure they had together. I loved the emotions between the two lost sisters and I hope to get to read about the brother one day, I don't know about the rest of you but I think he needs a female vampire. It would be nice to see all of the Whelan siblings all together. Maybe that will help dear old dad come around. I love how Sparks keeps to the storyline and the romance in this series. This is a true paranormal romance story.
