When your husband declares you aren’t enough after ten years, don’t get mad… Get a Bic and start a bonfire!
When Sabrina’s husband decides to move on to greener, and freer pastures, she knows she has to move on herself. Wounded and alone, she escapes to a friend’s cabin to think about her future…and burn her past. Literally.
Can she rise from the ashes of her marriage a new woman, or did she lose too much trying to salvage an illusion? Dealing with the heartache of her new reality, she meets a mystery man in the backwoods. One that makes her burn with desire.
Once just a soldier, now Travis is something…more. His last tour changed him in more ways than one. Can he come to terms with what he is, while dealing with the mixture of lust and possessiveness Bree brings out in him? Or is her past too much for him to handle?
Sexual

Snow's Heat is Nicole Hicks' s debut novella. I enjoy read this novella, it’s fun, sexy and sensual. Yet, I feel the story is too short, and just a few development for Sabrina, or Bree and Travis’s relationship. It’s like “Bree deal with her ex-husband” part is too long, and I think it will be good, if they focus at Travis and Bree instead. One thing that make me a little irritated is, Bree called Travis, who 10 years younger than her, as “kid”. I think she can call him “boy” or “young man”. It more suitable than “kid”. Another is, when Bree know Travis real identity, her reaction is not what I think, and too easy. Maybe because this is a novella, so Nicole Hicks try to wrap story in with a quick way. Anyway, I still reccomended Snow’s Heat if you love paranormal story with changeling (or shape-shifter), with a witty and strong heroine, and a sexy hero (yum, I want Travis!) I hope Nicole Hicks will continue their story at the future.

Wow! Devil without a Cause left me wanting more. This book is a very good start to a new hot paranormal romance series. I would have never dreamed I would like this book, but with the storyline and seduction I found I couldn’t put it down. This is a very quick and well explained read that no PNR reader should go without.
Who would have ever thought the devil could be sexy and have just a bit of compassion? Not me, but then this authors imagination is very vivid and different.
The blurb tells you about one storyline. But it doesn’t go into the devils storyline. Yep, there are two different stories in this book that flows together. The Devil and Gabriel has to work together to help one little boy and in the process they help one couple to find love. The devil has a lot of issues to take care of. You’ll have to read to find out more about his issues. I myself can’t wait for the next book to see what all he gets into.
Faiths son doesn’t get into the way of the storyline as a matter of fact, he adds to it. I enjoyed Faith and Finn. Finn is supper hot and Faith needs a little pick me up, so when the devil sends Faith to seduce Finn sparks fly and they find they can’t get enough of each other, so they have to work together to save all of their lives.
This is a spin off from Terri Nicki Styx series, but you don’t have to read it to start this series. I highly recommend this series to any paranormal romance reader

His love could save her…
In more ways than one.
With the scandalous nature of her birth to live down, Isabella Fairmont dreams of a proper marriage—even if a passionless one. She saves her deepest desires for the novel she dares to pen, wherein a handsome lord with dark powers seduces her. But then her courtship with an appropriate suitor is threatened by the sudden attentions of the reclusive Earl of Black…whose pale blue eyes and brooding sensuality are exactly as she described in her book.
Isabella tries to resist the mysterious Earl of Black. Yet as he pursues her, with inexplicable knowledge of her past and kisses that consume her, Isabella fears she will succumb.
If only the earl could tell Isabella the truth. With very real, and treacherous, thieves endangering her life, Black will need to protect Isabella from the very people she trusts the most…

The first novel in a new, historical series from Ms. Featherstone offers an extraordinary tale of extreme passion, mystery and intrigue. Here, the passion of Isabella and Black is fundamentally entwined with the mystery and magic of the Brethren Guardian storyline. SEDUCTION AND SCANDAL harkens back to the days of the gothic romance. The opening lines of the novel are a good example.
SEDUCTION & SCANDAL EXCERPT
Isabella’s mother passes away and “Issy” is sent to live with her cousin. But before Issy leaves, she commits an act so horrendous and shameful, that she will do anything to keep it hidden. Issy feels that it was passion and lust that killed her mother; she is determined not to let that happen to her. Instead, Issy lets her passion flow through the hidden novels she pens and settles into marrying a dull, boring man.
Lord Black has watched Issy from afar and he can no longer keep his distance. His possessiveness of Issy is almost, almost overwhelming. When these two are together, you can feel the sizzle and burn. The story gets even better when secrets of her past start to emerge and danger from Black’s Brethren Guardians raises its ugly head.
I must mention Issy’s cousin, Lucy. She is the complete opposite of Isabella. She has known love and passion, and lost them both. On the outside, she is the life of the party; never wanting to disappoint. But secretly, she will do anything, going as far as the occult to find the love she lost.
In SEDUCTION AND SCANDAL, Ms. Featherstone has a bit of the Templar legend, some occult, a little magic and the beguilement of Death. She is adept at taking the hunger and passion of romance to a benchmark level.

Guest post and giveaway with romance author Alex Severin
Please welcome romance author Alex Sevein!
Hi! I'm Alex. I write about sparkly vampires. No, wait! That's somebody else. Sorry. I just wish I'd thought of that.
I'm a vampire fanatic. Always have been, ever since I was a little girl and discovered the velvet-voiced, debonair, exotic man that was Bela Lugosi, watching old black and white movies on TV late at night.
I wanted to introduce you all to my characters Vivant and Belladonna, so I wrote you an exclusive steamy little vignette.
These are the main characters from my novel series Vampire Vintage, the first installment of which is Belladonna in Hollywood.
Without further a do, I'm just going to let Viv and Bells entertain you.
Enjoy!
~ Alex.
VIVANT & BELLADONNA
A Vampire Vintage Series Vignette
From the very first love-at-first-sight encounter when he found her raging at the night as she marched angrily down the streets of Hollywood, Vivant knew she was special.
It was more than just her physical beauty, more than mere sexual allure. And it didn't matter how much time passed by, how many decades came and went, he still felt the same thrill inside each time he looked at her, each time she was near him.
The innocence in her blood, the effect its scent had on him aggravated him just as much as it impassioned him. And blood as potent as Belladonna's never lost that heady scent, even if she wasn't exactly innocent anymore. Her blood still inflamed him.
Vivant loved to be in control, liked being the one who was adored, and he resented Belladonna as much as he loved her for making him feel like falling at her feet in worship.
That had never happened to him before Belladonna.
She found him lying on their four poster bed, luxuriating on white silk, reading de Sade. It was his favorite book - Justine, or The Misfortune of Virtue. He loved the injustice that Justine endured for her unrelenting insistence of being virtuous and the constant trials and tribulations she endured. And he admired the ambitious, ruthless Libertine that was her sister, Juliette. She was a whore, multiple murderess, and was now a refined, wealthy, titled woman, accepted into high society. He adored the anti-moral of the story. And, of course, it brought back fond memories of his old friend, The Marquis.
He gestured for Belladonna to come to him and smiled as she crossed the room. She shed her clothes as she moved toward him. She had just fed; he could tell by the rosy blush on her cheeks and the satisfied smile on her lips. He could smell the scent of blood coming from her mouth.
A single drop stained the corner of her lips; Vivant took her hand and wiped it off with the tip of her finger, put it in his mouth and slowly licked the scarlet nectar from it.
He hadn't fed; he'd been waiting for her to come home so he could feast on her; her blood was like no other he had ever indulged in.
He liked to wait until he was starving. And it was better still if he fed while he was inside her, his cock surrounded by her warm juices as he drew her fragrant blood into his ravenous mouth, suckling the vein in time with the throb of her heart.
He could feel her pulse through her soft lips as he kissed her; her skin warm and begging for his touch. He ran his hands over the contours of her body, drinking in the sight of her, the slight swell of her belly, the sensuous curves of her hips and ass.
Belladonna's blood-fueled heat seeped into his lips as his kiss collided with her hot flesh. He moved his hand down her body, his fingers finding the groove of her sex and played there a while, making her juices flow freely as he stroked her clit.
Desire and hunger both feasted on him now as his desire for her and her blood became maddening. He eased his cock into her, sliding effortlessly into her slick heat. He loved to raise himself up on his hands and tower over her, watch the pleasure on her face, watch the flutter of her eyelids. He took the tight pink bud of her nipple into his mouth and circled it with his tongue, flicked it over the hardening peak.
But it wasn't long until he turned his attention to the throb at her throat. He licked her neck, slickening her hot skin as she moaned, waiting for his bite. She gasped as he sank his fangs into her flesh, the exquisite pain heightening every sensation in her body.
Vivant closed his eyes as he drank from her. Her blood was like a drug, his body filling with joy and ecstasy as it rushed into his mouth. Its flavor made emotions collide inside him, made him lucid and insane at the same time. It made him want to weep endlessly and declare that he would love her forever. It made him crave violence and want to kill her.
But Vivant couldn't kill her – she was an immortal, an immortal he made, knew he would make, the moment he laid eyes on her all those decades ago when he found her raging at the night on the streets of Hollywoodland.

If you are looking for an extremely erotic shifter story, this is it. I enjoyed the suspense of the story and was anxious to see what would happen next. The sexual scenes were written very well. There wasn’t a lot of character development or dialogue outside of sex. There was also a very violent scene involving the graphic description of the murder of a child. I personally don’t care for any children in erotica, and I certainly don’t want to see them murdered. You could skip this scene and still enjoy the rest of the story.

Loving The Vampire
I want to thank Laurie for having me here at Bitten By Paranormal Romance. What a gorgeous blog this is!
For anyone who spends their time in the paranormal world, vampires are front and center. That’s not to say weres, shifters, mermaids, and zombies don’t have a strong following, but for me, it’s the vampire who reigns supreme. And why not? A monster at heart, he’s always smooth and sexy, with years of experience to offer a young lady. Who doesn’t like that? (I’m talking about adult romance here. I can’t speak for YA vampires, although I did see Twilight and was not attracted to that vampire. Don’t hate. He just doesn’t have the adult smooth thing going yet.)
Even the nicest vampire has an edge to him. Any creature that can bite you, suck out every last ounce of your blood, and leave you a shell of your former self is edgy. That writers choose to make them sweeter or sexier than they really are doesn’t change the fact that every vampire is a potential killer.
But that’s what makes them so desirable. They’re the quintessential mad, bad, and dangerous to know guy.
My vampires, Brandon and his sire Vasilije, are on opposite ends of the vampire spectrum. Brandon still possesses the kindness he had when he was a human. He finds Arden one night when he’s hunting for prey, but his attraction to her is built upon not only her physical appearance but her personality. He’s charmed by her. But he’s also seductive, in a very dark and brooding kind of way.
Vasilije, on the other hand, is a pure hedonist. He desires things because he’s bored or he finds them appealing. Women are toys. No more. He treats those he sires as toys also. He’s deliciously evil, just the way a bad guy should be.
So which do you prefer in your vampires? Do you like the good guy, who will still drink from you, or the bad guy, who may put your life in danger every time he eyes you up? Comment for a chance to win a copy of Vampire Dreams.
Here’s an excerpt from Vampire Dreams to whet your appetite:
Brandon knew by midnight all in the house would be asleep, including Arden. He remained at his desk in his study, waiting patiently as the minutes ticked away. When the grandfather clock in the parlor announced midnight, he quietly ascended the stairs to her bedroom.
Once inside her room, he stood with his back pressed to the door watching her. How beautiful she was in sleep! As beautiful as during waking hours. As the glow of the moon streamed in and bathed her in its light, he was reminded of the vision of her the night before and told himself she was a natural child of the night.
She remained asleep, and as he watched, aroused by her peacefulness, his passions created a storm in him he struggled to control. So innocent, yet so desirable.
He’d purposefully avoided her since waking, sure his need for her would be met by the response of a proper lady. No, he’d have her this way and wait for her to come to him.
Almost timidly, as if what he might find may cause him to lose control of his desire, he peeled back the blanket and sheet to reveal her body covered only by a thin white nightgown. Mere fabric was all that stood between his desires and sweet satisfaction.
He stopped a moment as she unconsciously recognized the change in her sleep, and when she stilled, he sat silently on the bed next to her to study her. She was so delicate—how would she respond to his touch?
Struggling to restrain himself, he gently touched the soft collar of her nightgown and tugged on the silk ribbon at her neck. Opened, it revealed a tease of what was to come. One by one, he untied the ribbons that held the fabric closed, until he’d revealed her beautiful breasts and body.
How he wanted her! That it must be like this for now he accepted, but he eagerly awaited the time when she’d choose to come to him. In a whisper, he spoke the chant that would awaken her as if in a dream.
When she opened her eyes and gazed up at him with a knowing look, his heart pounded against his chest in fear that the enchantment hadn’t worked and she was conscious of him. But soon he saw her eyes cloud over with passion as she reached out for him and searched for his mouth with hers.
The moment his lips touched hers, his cock hardened. The feel of her tongue touching his sent his fangs shooting into position, and he slowly ran his fingertips over a pearled nipple. Hypnotized, she watched as he removed his clothes with a mere thought and returned to her, his body desperate to be next to hers.
His mouth replaced his finger on her nipple, and he tenderly sucked as she arched up toward him wanting more. Like this, she was so willing and wanton, her desire meeting his. His fangs grazed her skin as he bit down on the base of her nipple, drawing a soft moan from her throat.
Her hands tugged at his hair, urging him to continue his sweet assault. The feel of her excited skin against his lips as he sucked aroused him more, and he yearned to have her in his mouth.
Trailing kisses over her stomach, he stopped just above her dark triangle and inhaled the scent he’d enjoyed the night he’d rescued her.
She had wanted him...

Bio:
College history professor by day, Gabrielle Bisset spends her nights and weekends writing erotic romance. An avid reader since childhood, she read her first romance novel before she'd entered high school and was hooked. Every step of the way since, through college and grad school, moving to Europe, marrying and having children, romance novels were with her. In addition to a love of reading, Gabrielle loved writing. After a humble start with her high school newspaper, she continued to write in college and grad school, enjoying the erotic romances she wrote far more than the research papers she was assigned. A desire to eat and have a roof over her head led to a teaching job, but the desire to write never went away.
Her first novel, Stolen Destiny, will be released by Siren Publishing on June 29, 2011. In addition, her trilogy of erotic novellas set in Victorian England will be released summer 2011. The first novella, Vampire Dreams, will be published on June 10, with the second novella, Love's Master, and the third novella, Masquerade, out in July and August.

This is another first author read that I found to be a very thrilling suspense. I enjoyed the writing and the detail that the author took in writing the case. This is an excellent romance story with a couple of sex scenes. I would suggest not to go into this story without light or a full stomach (if your that type) because the villain is very twisted and the author lays out the sinister tale on how the villain takes out the pray and it’s not pretty.
Cole and Megan’s relationship starts off good until her brother gets trapped into a murder crime and it looks like he is the one that did it. They fall apart from there, until Megan gets a call from a friend that has seen a murder. From there Megan starts putting together the two murders and drags Cole right into the middle of something he wants nothing to do with. I enjoyed all the characters and I am looking forward to reading about Megan’s Brother Sean in the next book.
I recommend this to any romantic suspense reader that likes romance along a dangerous thrilling ride.

Author's Website
Homeless and without any family, Arden Stephens must live on the streets of mid 19th century London, never a safe place for a young woman. One night, as she is running for her life from an attacker, she is rescued by Brandon Ridley and offered a place in his home as his maid. Brandon is enchanted by Arden from the moment they meet, but just as she has secrets, so too does he. A vampire hundreds of years old, he yearns for the companionship she can give him. But for that he must make her one of his kind.
Nightly, he visits her in her sleep, preparing her for the night he will finally make her his own. For Arden, the wanton dreams she has about her handsome employer seduce her and each day when she wakes up, she finds herself more drawn to him. But love and desire aren't enough for Brandon to sire her. He must first obtain the approval of his maker, an ancient vampire named Vasilije who has thwarted his chance for happiness before.
But if Brandon can convince him, he may finally find the love he's been without for centuries.

My Review -
Set in Victorian England Brandon Ridley discovers a young woman who stirs him like no other before, but the question that remains is will he be able to have her for eternity.
As Arden Stephens runs from danger she is unaware that she may be running into another. Saving Arden from possible death, Brandon give her employment as his maid to tend to his needs, however, Arden is unaware how much she will be tending to his needs and what it may cost her.
The encounters between Arden and Brandon were so intense at times that not only did Brandon leave Arden weak and drained, but also had the reader wishing to trade places with her. The deep passion that develops between the two doesn't go unnoticed by a nemesis that is bent on destroying their happiness.
Both Brandon and Arden have suffered so much in their lifetime and have felt lost and alone in the world until now. The only thing that may keep them apart is their fear of what lies ahead for them and a force bent as keeping them apart. A very hot, paranormal erotica novella that any vampire fan will enjoy and who loves her vampire strong, powerful and knowledgeable in pleasuring his love.

In times of stress Jillian Descharme has always found calm in her dream of a great white wolf with haunting blue eyes. But she is startled when the visions return and this time seem so real. Late at night he comes to her, speaks to her, touches her. It's almost as if he's alive...
Thirty years ago James Macleod lost his wife and unborn child to a killer bent on destroying the Changelings. Though he longed for death, his animal instinct fought for survival and James has been a wolf ever since. Yet now a woman has reawakened the man in him, taming wild instincts but arousing still wilder needs. With his ancient enemy hunting the legendary white wolf, James must fight for new life, new hope, new love.
Changeling Dream was a good read. I did like the storyline and the way the hero and heroine meets. I just wished they would have worked tighter instead of apart for the biggest part of the book. I liked Jillian’s character and the way she loved animals. She does get very dramatic on James when he would try to help out. I felt the romance was not priority in the story, so this is why my rating is lower. You get the same as in the first book, good sexual tension and a couple of sex scenes.
Jillian had something bad happen to her earlier on in life, after that she found comfort in having visions of a white wolf. When she gets a phone call for her to come to work in Canada she never in her wildest dreams believe she would come face to face with that wolf.
James lost a wife and kid, now he just lives as a wolf and has for a very long time. When he come back into town he smells something interesting to his wolf side, he has to find out and in that he embarks on a journey where he just might find himself again. If you liked the first book in this series this one shouldn’t disappoint you.

My Review:
This paranormal romance grabs your attention from the first page. Leger has created a sister world to Earth, Avaris, filled with Dragons, wizards, Felerians (cat people), airships (flying clipper ships with propellers), dracs (fledgling dragons), dragoons (dragon youths), dragonseed (half dragon/half human), rogues, dragonstones, magic, a prophecy, an oath, a wish, betrayal, a battle and an unlikely but sexy romance.
Seren, a 28 year old psychic who helps the New Orleans police, lost her child (to a drunk driver) and her husband (two years later to divorce). She's just been going through the motions, not really living, since the death. She has started seeing visions of a dragon. She doesn't understand; dragons aren't real. One night taking a bath, she accidentally starts to knock the radio into the tub with her. She sees a flash of light and then the radio is smashed against the wall by a man. "He was beautiful. Every muscled curve, each firm line rippled with perfection. He was the dragon."
Captain Paladin Fulcan, dragonseed, is in the middle of a journey to take the bodies of his wife and son to her family for interment. Staying overnight in pub house, he does the unthinkable... he makes a wish on a falling star. A bright light with a doorway appears and he has to save Seren. Without thinking, he takes her back through the doorway.
Both being exhausted, they fall into the only bed. During the night Seren is having the most wonderful dream - sex with a gorgeous angel, not once but three times. Upon waking she is sore. She's shock to realize those weren't dreams. "Hot, lurid sex with a complete stranger. With just the physical act, he had accomplished what her husband hadn’t been able to achieve even after hours of foreplay. She had climaxed every time. Once, she’d reached her peak twice. She frowned, hoping she hadn’t conceived, yet she felt like a new life grew inside her. But right now she sensed the joining of his sperm with her egg." She doesn't want another child to have to face loving it so much only to have it die. Neither wants a repeat of last night but they both are so drawn to each other they may not have a choice.
Later there is a very poignant scene. Seren's fetus can talk to her in visions - he appears as a grown man and asks her why she doesn't want him. Broke my heart. He tells her, “I am not your lost one... Do you fear you will love me more than her?” he asks. “Yes. You do. You have nothing to fear. I will never leave you. You have been chosen by the seven great dragons to be the vessel for my creation.” She tells him, “I don’t want to love you...please, understand.” He counters with, “I understand many things, but this is one I do not—you are my mother.” She replies, “If I love you, I’ll never want to lose you. If I do, I know it’ll be a million times worse than with Mandy. That’s what I fear the most.”
Needless to say, there are rogue dragons who don't want the baby born. There is running, hiding, kidnapping, battling and all throughout, the love affair that neither wanted, blooms.
This was a delightful paranormal romance with some fantasy thrown in the mix for good measure - so it isn't your typical paranormal romance which was surprisingly refreshing. The characters are believable and the action is almost non-stop. I hope there are plans for a sequel because I'd love to know what happens next. Paranormal romance and dragon fans should enjoy this story.
Warning Spoiler Alert!!!
While it seems touch and go for awhile, this does have a HEA.

What would happen to a fairy without wings?
Thame is a warrior, a golden fairy who is loyal to the King and new Queen. They are on the verge of war with the Trolls. It’s an ongoing battle that he fought with success...until now. The enemy captures him, cuts off his wings and strands him on the remote Aran Islands. His escape is a miracle, but the night is still young.
Breena never expects to find a half-naked man with a mutilated back in the middle of her home. Now she finds herself in the middle of a war she didn’t even know existed on top of discovering she’s only part human.
Can Breena heal Thame's ravaged heart?

Review
The blurb above explains the whole premise of the storyline; no need for me to go into details. So, do you want the good news or the bad news first? I thought so.
Ms. Keraleigh has created an exquisite fairy world filled with beautiful, alpha men with wings, who need to find their mates and procreate in order for their race to survive. Unfortunately, this time I feel she has tried too hard and has included too much information into a novella.
We were introduced to Morrigan in FAIRY FLAVOR as Queen Brook’s cousin. Here, we get two very confusing sneak peeks at her. Albeit, one of them include an encounter with the fairy Whisper. (He’s the Good News, BTW.)
Same ruse different book: The trolls engage the fairies in battle as a decoy while other trolls try to steal one of their women.
Breena is a hometown girl. Raised by her Gran, reads historical romance novels, never kissed a guy. So, it’s only natural that when she’s around Thame her shyness sets in and really starts to show. The clumsiness/unbalancing act start at page 19 and doesn’t let up. How many times does an author let her heroine fall flat on her face, or ass in this case, before it gets redundant?
Now I’m getting nit-picky but this really bothered me. Maybe it was because of the YUCK factor involved. Both Breena and Thame have been fighting trolls. Thame with his sword and knife with blood and guts being involved. Breena with salt and frying pan involved. (Intriguing huh?) Flash forward…..their climbing under the covers, fully clothed, sans shoes for the night and snoozing. Excuse me? How about a quick duck under the shower? A sentence or three of erotic foreplay?
Yes, there is sexual intercourse in this book, along with anal penetration, but it didn’t have the sensual or romantic focus as FAIRY FLAVOR did. That is the reason for the Steamy Rating. Breena is a sheltered country girl – she hasn’t even kissed a boy and she is 22 years old. She blushes at just a lewd thought: As her Gran reminds her to stop “wandering”.
Finally, Thame and Breena were going to consummate their love atop of a gigantic sunflower under the stars. How romantic! Genuinely disgusted was how I felt after reading this scene. But the penetration turned out to be anal with little to no prep. Give me a break! Here we have a virgin with no experience. And Thame, of course, was described as being well endowed. Nope, no way, no how.
Well now, after all of this negativity, how, may you ask, can I still rate this a 3 One Good Howl? It’s because I really like these alpha Fairy Men and their idiosyncrasies. I am intrigued by Wick and his green hair. He is so lustful. Will he find his match? And the shadow of a blueman Whisper with his gigantic black wings (and the two pointed teeth we barely glimpsed) – will his mate be Morrigan? What’s up with Keyn anyway? Is he bipolar? Is there such a thing as a bipolar fairy? And how come the fairies that have already mated don’t have offspring?
Most off all it is because I have hope. I have faith that Ms. Keraleigh will mature as an author and in turn, so will her fairy series. Damn, I want to read about Whisper!
