HER INSTINCTS TELL HER HE'S DANGEROUS...
While her overprotective brother's away, Meara Greymere's planning to play---and it wouldn't hurt to find herself a mate in the process. The last thing she needs is one of his SEAL buddies spoiling her fun, even if the guy is the hottest one she's seen...
HIS POWERS OF PERSUASION ARE HARDER TO RESIST...
Finn Emerson's a battle-hardened Navy Seal and alpha wolf. He's a little overqualified for baby-sitting, but feisty Meara is attracting trouble like a magnet...
As the only responsible alpha male in the vicinity, Finn is going to have to protect this intriguing woman from a horde of questionable men, and definitely from himself...

As the only responsible alpha male in the vicinity, Finn is going to have to protect this intriguing woman from a horde of questionable men, and definitely from himself...
There's an assassin causing
problems for the SEAL team and Finn decides to keep an eye on Meara
while her brother, Hunter, is on his honeymoon. Before knowing about
Finn's plans Meara has the idea to use the cabins she and Hunter own to
run her own version of The Dating Game. Alpha wolf style.
Finn figures the best way to protect Meara from the assassin and all of her potential suitors is to lay claim to her "in a pretend way, of course." Who would have thought a mutual attraction would begin to form along the way?
When a body washes ashore near the cabins Finn decides to take Meara to a 'safe house' where things really start to heat up.
I really enjoyed the 'who dunnit,' or rather who is 'actively doing it' in this story. There was a twist I didn't see coming. I also really enjoyed the playful banter between the characters. The strong female characters were a breathe of fresh air in a genre that too often doesn't allow the ladies to kick butt like their male counterparts.
The only thing I wasn't too keen on was how quickly the conflicts facing Finn and Meara's mating was resolved. I'm used to heroines/heroes falling madly in love within days of meeting but it just seemed odd that one page a character couldn't imagine giving up a vital piece of their life/personality and the next they are declaring to the world that they've given it up without a second thought. I love HEAs but when it seems too easy it bothers me. In my opinion there should be SOME struggle to get to that point.
In all, I thought this was a really great story. There was tons of intrigue and lots of yummy Alpha male action. I was definitely jealous of Meara on more than one occasion :)

I'm right in the middle of Dreaming of the wolf and am loving it. I have a feeling I'll be picking up a bunch of this authors books if they are anything like the one I'm reading. Thanks for the review.
